We really enjoyed our stay at The Ivy Mansion B&B. The accommodations were great and your information on neighborhood attractions, restaurants and historic sites allowed us to make the most of our brief stay. Even though we live in the city, we had a chance to experience places we don't normally visit and enjoy. It was a great get-away for...

Dana's expertise and love in running the Ivy comes through in her attention to detail. The room was spotless, comfortable, and with a recently-renovated bathroom, was a joy to stay in. Very close to major transportation hubs and beautiful, walkable neighborhood. Dana is the best! Highly recommended!

First time at the Ivy Mansion, I found it online and it proved to be a great find for my wife & I. Clean, comfortable, quiet and in a great location. Everything was in walking distance, the White House, Washington Monument, Smithsonian, restaurants...etc. Dana, the owner & innkeeper, was available if needed, but made us feel like we were in...

It's hard to imagine what our trip to DC would have been like without our stay at the Ivy Mansion. We stayed in the Ella Jo, which fronts 21st Street Given that Connecticut Avenue is a block away, we wondered how quiet our nights would be. But 21st is a quiet residential street and we heard nothing at night--not even...

We just returned from a visit to Washington, DC & a stay at The Ivy Mansion. Between Congress returning plus the Pope's visit, we were having some challenges finding well located lodging. We stumbled on this B & B. Lucky us!! Dana was so available & helpful on every front. Dana arranged for a parking pass for our rental car...

We picked Ivy Mansion because we like small, locally run places vs. corporate lodging and the location and architecture of this home seemed unique and fun. No disappointment there. But when we arrived late in the afternoon, our room (Ella Jo) wasn't ready. It was a short wait which was fine, but once we settled in and were using the...

I spend a LOT of time researching places when I take a trip. Some people don't really care where they crash at the end of the day, but I do. I think it's part of the experience of the vacation to be in a great part of town and have a nice room to relax in after sightseeing. The Ivy...

Despite arriving later in the day (after 6), we were greeted by a pile of laundry on the floor on the room outside we were staying. Had to make our own breakfast (ended up spending extra money to purchase locally as we weren't even told how to set up the coffeemaker). Came back after touring each day to unmade beds....

Hello Nicole, I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your experience at my B&B. I hope you can take a moment to consider my response: 1. Agreed: The laundry on the floor OUTSIDE of your room waiting for its turn in the w/d located on your floor was not a good look and most definitely unacceptable....

The location is in a nice neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants and nice houses. The underground station is 2 mins walk, the house is very nice and well maintained. The room we had was massive and quiet. The hostess was super friendly and gave us a lot of tips that helped us enjoying our visit to Washington.

The Ivy Mansion is a great place to stay while in Washington DC. Dana is an amazing host. Dupont Circle is a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The Dupond Circle subway Station is only 5 minute walk from Ivy Mansion. In our room, we had everything that we ever needed. We had our own bathroom, sitting area, pantry and even...
