We spent one night at the Intercontinental Hotel for a holiday party. Baraki greeted us warmly and was extremely personable when we were checking in and out. We have had a few other hotel experiences recently, however, Baraki and the other staff members at the Intercontinental

My friends got stuck in an elevator in this hotel and because of that we met the nicest doorman I have ever met. His name was Eric Samuel, and he was more than friendly and accommodating. He even gave them some skittles once they got out! This man deserves a raise because of his

Dear Carol S, Thank you for your question. Reserving a river view room will assist with seeing the parade and fireworks. However, we are not able to guarantee the view because The Wharf operates the holiday parade. If you have additional questions, please let us know. Thank you, Alexandria June Marketing Manager

What is the difference between double standard and double deluxe?
Dear jaihope43, Thank you for your question and interest in InterContinental Washington D.C.- The Wharf. All of our guestrooms are spacious and offer unique amenities. The difference between a Standard room and Deluxe room is the view. There are Standard rooms that offer a Maine Ave or Wharf St view. Our Deluxe rooms have Potomac River views. Standard and Deluxe rooms are on each floor too. If you have additional questions, please feel free to give the hotel a call. Thank you, Alexandria June Marketing Manager
