When I arrived at Hive Hotel, I was immediately greeted by Brooke. She is thoughtful, energetic, and seemed genuinely engaged in our discussion. She spent quite a bit of time recommending restaurants and breakfast spots for me, making recommendations on the atmosphere and ambiance we were looking for. I was very impressed with how thorough she was, as well as knowledgeable about the area. She checked in with me multiple times during the stay to ensure I was enjoying it. Upon checkout in the morning, I met Q, who was also so friendly and thorough. She ensured my stay was pleasant, and provided many recommendations for spots around the city to visit! Brooke was also there, and the three of us probably chatted for 20 minutes about sights to see and places to go. Both ladies were so lovely, and made my stay top-notch. The hotel itself is so cute and enjoyable, but I will absolutely be back due to the hospitality of Q and Brooke! Fantastic ladies!…
The Best Everest expirience, the staff/guys are happy and super Moody and do everything to help you….the free coffe and tee 6-8 am are tasty Windows are soundproof. They have Many Types of nice soaps in the shower. We GET extra blanket in a minute. Garage is big and 2 min walking distance. Thx again guys.
The perfect place for a couple to spend a night. The room was just what we needed and hanging out in the bar area was our favorite part. What a fun vibe! The staff was very friendly and the bartender was so fun and made really good drinks.
Everything was great, the staffs were nice and it was very clean. It is only to mentioned that you have not much space in the room because it is a micro hotel but it was arrangable. The interior design of the hotel is very appealing. Thanks for the great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hive. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff (including Q, Chanta, Brooke, and Kiera) were welcoming and helpful, offering tips for visiting the city and answering any questions we had. The room was a great size and very clean. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room since we were there for 5 nights, but it definitely wasn’t a dealbreaker given how good the rest of the experience was. We were in one of the buzz rooms which was somewhat noisy throughout the day, as advertised, but was quiet at night after 10 when the bar downstairs closed. The hotel location was perfect, with a 20-30 minute walk to most of the main attractions and museums on the Mall. If you are planning to have a car during your stay, one thing to note is the hotel uses a public parking lot just down the street from the hotel. When we first arrived and when we left on our last day, the parking lot attendant had issues with the system and it took 15-20 minutes to get in and out of the lot. Once parked, it was easy to get in and out on the daily basis, and there was always space to pull up in front of the hotel for loading/unloading.…
This is the perfect hotel for a quick getaway! Loved that we were in walking distance from restaurants. The rooms were so unique and we really enjoyed the convenience of the Hive Bar for some drinks and even breakfast! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Will be coming back to this place in the future!
This is a microtel, so keep that in mind. Rooms are small and don't have a lot of frills. But you save money that way and you get a unique place to stay in a nice neighborhood. I was going to Washington for work. Since my company is frugal, I was looking for a hotel under $200 per night with tax included. I found a Hotel Hive online, and I’m very glad I did! I booked a room for a week, but work required me to stay an extra week. This little hotel became my home base while I was in town, and I really enjoyed it. It’s in Foggy Bottom, on the edge of George Washington University. It’s walking distance to the National Mall and several good restaurants. The staff — Chloe, Q, Kiera, Chanta, and Brooke -– we’re all very helpful and accommodating. I was traveling alone and planned to be out most of the day, so I didn’t need a big room. I had a queen-sized bed in a “hive” room, which are quieter than the “buzz” rooms. Apparently, the bar on the ground floor is quite popular and it can get loud. I think the Hotel Hive is great for single travelers. Couples might want to opt for the larger rooms with king-sized beds.…
My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Hive for our two year anniversary and we felt very taken care of. Every member of the staff we spoke to was very nice and helpful, especially Q, Chanta, and the bartenders. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay at a nice place in DC.
The BEST hotel find! Enjoyed everything about the hotel…unique finds around every turn. The details from the glass elevator with murals on the walls, the nook in the bar, the incredible quotes on the room walls and the amazing flatbread pizzas. But by far the STAFF is what made this experience incredible. Each one was beyond kind, charming, and truly caring and helpful. Always created with a smile and warm greeting.
Wonderful place near the GW campus that I wanted. I liked pet- friendly vibe, friendly and welcoming service and delicious coffee / food. The room service was offered on a need basis, which is very wise. The bedding was very comfy and clean. The showers have all you need- shampoos, conditioner, body wash and a lotion. I stayed on a 4 th floor and it was quiet.
