Pros: 1) Next to capitol (but be aware this is not the ideal location when visiting DC) 2) Very clean, modern rooms 3) Restaurant in hotel 4) Inexpensive Colonial parking garage nearby Cons: 1) Walls are paper thin. You can hear the occupants in the room next to you almost as if they are in your room 2) Staff was not friendly 3) Not an ideal location 4) Resort fee gets you basically nothing especially if you are traveling in the winter when the pool is closed. Gym is small and similar to that of a Hampton Inn.
You can see the Capitol Building from outside the hotel, so the location is perfect. The rooms are also huge and it was a nice touch to have our names on the TV screen in the room when we checked in. The shower was great and the ability to change the angle of the bed was a great touch. Would definitely recommend as close to Capitol Building, the National Mall and the train station.
Our server, Abdul, gave us excellent service at the in-hotel restaurant. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. The hospitality was great and I would stay again.
This property has only positive things to comment on. The property itself is very well kept and clean. The rooms are of good size (for a city like DC) and the bathrooms have plenty of space (again for a city like DC). The light features that you can adjust based on your mood are a cool thing for those who want to explore. The feature I liked the most is that the beds can be reclined/adjusted based on what your comfort levels are or your activity (sleeping/reading/watching TV). The self checkin and check out is priceless. I’m on the road 50% of the time and time efficiency is a must for me. There are several staff in the lobby - and while you don’t need to interact with them for your checkin etc- they are on point making sure your needs are solved and you are having no issues. Finding good customer service at hotels after COViD is considered a luxury so I have to appreciate very much this Thank you! For those on the road like me trying to keep up with a healthy style, the fitness center is small but the variety of cardio machines and equipment is great so for sure you can hit your goals here! Free coffee machines on the floors Lastly, please enjoy a meal at their restaurant. The food was very good, again something you don’t find in hotels post COVID. And obviously location, location! You are close to everything, metro, train station, quick ride to airports, and all the great things DC offers …
I'm sure that I am like many others who are nervous about traveling to other places and not knowing whether or not the pictures and area will be as listed on the website. HOWEVER, my wife and I traveled to DC for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and decided to book this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and assisted immediately which was definitely a great start. Also the check in process was smoothe and fast. During the check in process we noticed that the lobby area was very clean and presentable as well. Once we entered the room we were blown away by the space as well as the other amenities such as the television with colorful lights surrounding it along with the very soft adjustable bed. The bathroom area was very clean and spacious (Although it took us a second to understand how to operate the hot water function on the shower *press the button on the bottom then rotate the knob*). We were very pleased with the AC temperature and room view facing the front of the building. We requested additional towels during our stay and was immediately taken care of by the staff. Due to the cost of transportation we decided not to drive to DC. Therefore, we had to walk to most of if not all of the places that we visited which wasn't bad because we had planned on walking anyhow. The distance to just about everything was only like 15 min or so from the hotel depending on the route you take so that was a huge benefit of booking this hotel. There are scooters and bikes located throughout DC to help you get around , but we were skeptical on how they would charge our card so we decided not to utilize those options. However, we also noticed that several other people were using that resource due to the scooters being conveniently parked outside the hotel so feel free to take a chance on it if you want . When visiting DC we will definitely be staying here again! Thank you for making our first trip to DC and our anniversary awesome!! I highly recommend staying here!!!…
Really clean facilities, amazing staff, and great coffee! The bed felt wonderful and the rooms were so clean and really fun. We will always be staying here when we come to DC. Really convenient location, close to many DC things to do.........
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Yotel DC for a mixed pleasure and work trip. The hotel is fun, the room was clean, and the staff were super friendly and helpful (especially Dewan at the front desk!). It is not your typical hotel, but more European in style. We will return in the future especially since it is so well located for both museum going and Capitol business.
I have stayed at many hotels in DC and the Yotel is by far one of my favorites. My sweetheart and I absolutely love all it has to offer, to include the beautiful modern rooms, the top notch customer service, all the amenities, delicious food at Art and Soul, quickly releasing the incedental hold, and so much more, however, the cost to park for patrons is absolutely ridiculous. Paying $50 to park for 12 to 24 hrs is insanely expensive and it's not even valet parking. There are no insentives or accommodations attached to the charges for parking. I know being in the heart of DC things can get a little expensive, but, if I were being totally honest, the $50 charge for up to 24hrs of parking will cause us not to stay at your establishment again, which is disappointing because we really enjoyed our time. One suggestion might be to let your patrons know (either on the website or via the lobby) that you all don't own the parking garage so pricing and accommodations are out of your hands so they are aware. Another suggestion could be seeing about possibly partnering with the garage owner and work out a better pricing solution for your customers. I am hoping that you all can figure out a way to work through the parking disparities and make it better suitable for your customers, especially those who travel long distances and choose to stay at the Yotel. Blessings ❤️…
This hotel was just okay. The woman who checked us in was quite rude although other employees were nice. The toilet in the cube was really strange. The TV was super close to the bed especially when the bed was lowered. (The bed is like a queen-sized hospital bed.) I can't complain too much because it was comfortable and had everything you need for an overnight or couple day stay. Near the Capitol, Union Station and the National Mall. Got a good rate on Orbitz with a coupon worth $20 in food or drink.
I really enjoyed how quiet and relaxed you could make the room. The buttons were fun to test and experiment but I wish there was a guide to help me understand how it’s all connected. The shower pressure was also great and the lighted mirror was helpful when I didn’t want to make the entire place bright.
