Situated on the edge of town (but still only 15 mins walk from the Plaza Mayor) where the cobbles give way to dirt tracks and old American cars give way to horses and carts, it is a working ranch which doubles as a B & B. Our room – or suite – was in a separate out-building reached via the...

Our room (room 3) was charming with a spacious vestibule between the bedroom and very original, natural stone part open-air bathroom. There was also a small terrace with chairs which looked out over the garden and stables. We had a safe and minibar but no toiletries except soap in the bathroom. The whole property is very attractive with its own sizeable...

The drive up to La Casona is not inspiring and we started to wonder if we'd made a mistake in booking it. However, as soon as you are inside the courtyard and the staff come out to welcome you then you realise what a great place this is going to be. Our room was simple but had all the essentials...

We stayed 4 nights at this wonderful Casa, formerly a farm, on the edge of Trinidad about 15 minutes walk along fascinating streets to the main square. Large rooms overlooking beautiful gardens, a sublime terrace with views through to the Caribbean which will have a big swimming pool once the authorities let them fill it with water again! Lovely outdoor...

A hotel with a difference - a family owned ranch with guest rooms surrounded by horses and stables. The rooms were large, with lovely, partly open-air bathrooms. The food and the service were excellent and we loved the outdoor breakfasts with fresh produce from the farm. I left a drawer full of shirts behind by mistake, and the owners very...

We stayed here early February 2017 and loved it. From the outside you had no idea of the beautiful space behind the gates. Only a 15min walk from the centre of Trinidad which you could do very safely even after dark, an ideal place to stay. We had a spacious room down near the impeccable stables with a huge bathroom...

Our stay at La Casona was certainly one of the accommodation highlights of our trip to Cuba. Located on the edge of town (but still within easy walking distance of all the attractions) it offers space, calm and 6 or 7 attractive, well equipped rooms in beautiful surroundings. Our bathroom was lovely and spacious, and everything worked very efficiently. All...

This is a big house like the name states "casona" with plenty of rooms and interior space. Is most likely a country side mansion with lots of people working around the house. The rooms were very clean and the interior courtyard is full of lush and also a lovely speaking parrot. The breakfast was excellent a I believe that the...

This is not only a beautiful property, tucked away at the end of a back street 15 minutes from the centre, but also a wonderful place to eat, in the certainty that travellers' tummy won't get you here! They grow all their own vegetables in well-kept gardens you can admire, and cook everything from chicken to lobster on a barbecue...

We stayed for 3 nights, and were given room no7 - which turns out to be a gorgeous suite, built in what may once have been a wine cellar or similar. The room is very well kitted out, the shower fantastic, with private outsider seating area and comfy chairs. Food - unlike many Cuban places - was delicious, with salads...
