If you want to visit Trinidad you have to stay at the Casa of Mercedes Padron. We really enjoyed the visit and we found no restaurant where the food was nearly that good as the dinner made by Mercedes. Thank you for everything and we hope we will meet you again!

From the moment I went inside their comfortable, quiet and very central 'hostal' I was made feel at home. And with such a great hospitality I even managed to lose my inhibitions and have a go at speaking Spanish! Tip: you don't want to miss the fresh guava juice and the home-made dishes that they serve for breakfast.

Mercedes house is very close to the center, but since it is in a side street we spent a very quiet night. The roof terrace is wonderful and the breakfast one of the best we had in Cuba. Mercedes gave us a warm welcome and is a very friendly lady.

Stayed here for three nights as part of a longer Cuban roadtrip together with husband and there kids. Although we do not speak a word of Spanish we where able to communicate really well with the wonderful hostess Mercedes (a retired former teacher). She cooked the most amazing foods catering to my kids preferences and also made a vegetarian meal...

We were fortunate to have been referred to Hostal Mercedes by her son-in-law, Ramon Amaro, who was unable to accommodate the four of us for 3 days of our 6 day stay in Trinidad de Cuba. Hostal Mercedes is located right next door to Casa Amaro y Yamira :-) VERY convenient for travelers who may need more than 2 rooms!...

The room was clean and with awesome AC (wich in July is a must be in Cuba). Place location also great - close to literally everywhere. Mercedes is an always smiling warm person who helped us when we needed it.

We stayed with Mercedes for a few days in June. The room was comfortable, quiet and the two garden areas, one downstairs and the other on the roof were pleasant places to eat and read. Mercedes is a great cook. She made us some of the best meals we had in Cuba. But even more memorable was how interesting she...

We were met at the bus by Senor Mercedes as arranged and he took us a short walk to their centrally located Casa. The room was one of the best we stayed in in the whole of Cuba, large, spacious, clean and had a fridge and air con. The 3 nights we were there we were waited on by her...

This casa particular is located in historical centre of Trinidad with comfortable, spacious and clean room, air conditioning and hot water. It was the best and the quiet place we stayed in the whole holiday (14 days spent in Cuba). A nice family, kindly and very hospitable. We felt like family members there. Despite of senora Mercedes doesn't speak english...

“Climb the two or three flights of stairs to reach a terrace affording great views of Trinidad.”

“The room behind the patio is quieter, however, the street-side room has shutters to filter the street noise and light. However, in general, local Cubans love to party (not us!) with loud music and late nights. This is something that hosts at casa particulares cannot change.”
