This was chosen as our relaxation spot before our return to the UK after a busy tour of NZ. It was simply wonderful and beat all expectations. We only wish we had booked more than 2 nights. The staff were delightful. The communal areas are calming and furnished beautifully. The whole place is serene. The attention to detail all around...

Firstly it must be said that this place is absolutely stunning, if somewhat overpriced when you stay during peak season which we did. The lighthouse room worked out at just over $1200 (NZD) per night, food not included. Having stayed in 5* accommodation all over the world, I did think this was rather over the top, as it was Waiheke...

We have travelled a lot and definitely would rate this as one of our favourite places to stay. The main reception/ dinning room is fab plus all the staff excel at customer service. Breakfast and dinner is very good with nearly all veggies grown in their own Garden allotment which is very trendy and well stocked with veggie. They gave...

We have just enjoyed two magical days on Waiheke, staying in this fantastic hotel. Jonathan and his staff have created a very special place - the ambience, setting, rooms, communal areas, the garden and nooks and crannies where you can escape for privacy and the food, which is to die for, all help to make The Boatshed amazing. Use one...

We really loved our stay at the Boatshed, a fantastic find. Thank you to Jonathan for his hospitality andwonderful food. Jonathan's greatest skill I believe is his ability to pick excellent staff, personable and friendly and happy to go out of their way to help and give advice. Scott and Annabel are two of the young staff who made the...

My wife and I ended our month long honeymoon with two nights at the boatshed. We were expecting good things and weren't disappointed! This is an exceptional hotel with world class service. Jonathan and his team go to extraordinary lengths to make your stay as easy as possible, nothing is too much trouble and it's all very relaxed which was...

Lovely little boutique hotel on the edge of Oneroa. Nice laid-back vibe could disguise the fact that this place is run well & the customer is at the heart of things. We arrived early from the mainland on the day of our check-in, before heading out, but a coffee and some breakfast instantly appeared. Our boatshed room had lots of...

Exceptional stay. Nothing was too much for the fantastic staff. Great little hotel, suite, food and garden. Highly recommend the lighthouse suite if you don't mind stairs. Very relaxing, romantic and peaceful. Will be back!

Everything we read by other reviewer was true. There is nothing more we can say except to say as of October 2016 5 stars is definitely appropriate for The Boatshed. Spectacular room, fantastic food, gracious staff, and a host who does not miss a detail to make the experience unforgettable. Glad we splurged.
