We recently had a wonderful, relaxing holiday in a cottage at Punga Lodge. This was scrupulously clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed, excellent little kitchen and even a water cooler provided. This, along with several fans that were provided, kept us cool and comfortable in this hot summer weather. A highlight of our stay was Dyan's fabulous, complementary afternoon teas with her wonderful baking. Dyan provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere which makes her guests feel very much at home and happy. Throughout our stay she did everything she could to make our stay a pleasant one. There is a wonderful bush outlook from all the decks. It was amazing to sit on the deck of our cottage in the mornings and watch kereru eating berries in the treetops and hear the tui calling to each other.

Such a great location being only minutes into Oneroa, as well as the house itself being set in a native bush location. True Kiwi hospitality from the hosts which can only be described as overly generous... you'll know once you've had the breakfast & the amazing afternoon tea : fresh, home cooked baking at its best!

We stayed for 3 nights and were upgraded to the apartment. It was a very spacious room, clean and comfortable.
The location overlooking the bush was great and it would be lovely to sit out on the deck in warmer weather. It was also handy to all bus routes.
The thing that stood out at this place was the friendly and helpful owners. Not to mention the amazing afternoon teas provided.

Good budget option for Waiheke. Good location. Great hospitality with afternoon tea, fresh baking and breakfast on the terrace. Dated accommodation and the upstairs rooms feel like being in a guest house really - not very private. As instructed, we ordered breakfast for the first two mornings and then didn't for the third. We assumed that meant we didn't get breakfast but owner came to our room and asked if we were having breakfast. We said no - we had not ordered it. She then said "I will give your fruit salad to someone else then" which felt a bit like being told off.

This accommodation has so much going for it…
Close to the beach; beach towels included
Close to the bus stop (great bus service on the island)
Short walk into town
Very comfortable rooms, wonderful to have a private balcony looking out onto the native bush
A substantial breakfast, several options to choose from
Returning to the B&B after a long hike on the Te Ara Hura trail it was a real treat to have afternoon tea provided, especially Dyan’s yummy homemade cakes
We didn’t use the spa pool, but that would be a welcome treat in the cooler weather.
The environment was relaxed and friendly. Thank you Dyan & Rob for looking after us so well.

After a warm & friendly greeting from our host Dyan and a little tour, we enjoyed a delightful tea with homemade treats on the balcony overlooking the bush. Lots of birdsong.
Our room and balcony also overlooked the bush. Great view!
Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning featuring homemade mueseli, muffins and fruit salad.
Walking distance to Little Oneroa Beach and the township of Oneroa and bus stop is nearby to see other parts of the island.

This would be one of the best places I have stayed. Dyan and Rob were the most loveliest people and so accommodating. The best home made muesli and fresh baked muffin as part of the breakfast were so yummy! Not to mention the complimentary afternoon tea treats as an added bonus. Arrived in the dark but what a lovely back drop to wake up to... local parrots and Kaka flying around the native bush ...just beautiful. Thank you Cookie the cat for the lovely visit this morning too. Will absolutely be back to stay and will recommend to everyone!

Genial host and great continental breakfast.
Muffins were still hot when delivered to the table!
As a 72-year-old, I found the stairs to the room steep and a little difficult to negotiate.
We had a mosquito problem.
As is typical for so many New Zealand windows, there were no screens.
The first night, my wife suffered many bites. I believed it was because I didn't plug in the pest repeller, but the next night I made sure I did, and we were both bitten.
If you are staying in something other than an air-conditioned hotel, please check to see if the windows are screened.
If not,and you still wish to stay there, you will either have to close your windows (difficult in summer heat) or wear protective clothing lilke a bug jacket to bed.

A great location, basically 2 minutes from Little Oneroa beach and 10 minute walk to Oneroa town centre. Rooms were tidy and the host was lovely, she couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend this accommodation!

Hi I've just tried to put the email address in this answer but trip advisor doesn't allow me include a HTML or website links! You could phone me on NZ free phone 08003726675 or +6493726675 if you are overseas. Or if you are actually on our website there is an enquiry form you can send to me and I can answer you on that. Kind regards Dyan
