Checked in at 9.00pm after getting off the ferry to be told the restaurant had just closed. Fortunately the hotel is close to town and i walked in and found a suitable bar/ restaurant. The room was dated and not very clean. there has been a poor attempt to update the room but the was poorly executed. The room and...

Stayed here with 2 friends expecting a four star hotel (as advertised) and we were very disappointed. The facilities were good but the service was certainly not up to four star standards. The receptionist when we checked appeared disinterested and was quite unhelpful. There were cigarette butts on the balcony from the previous occupants, and there was no apology for...

Nice room. Clean and good views. Front desk staff was unhelpful. Asked for a lunch recommendation and got nothing - told to just find something. On check in, waited 25 minutes while they answered several calls and instead of putting them on hold, helped them and left me standing there waiting. Super annoying.

We stayed 1 night in Picton Yacht Club and it was fine for us. We took the family room and it was really big and with a terrace with sea view. The room has not been renovated yet, but for that reason, you can book it at a cheaper price. Yes, the room needs renovation, but it was clean, big...

Considering how small Picton is, this is probably one of the better hotels in town, heated pool, restaurant, and close to the marina and High Streets. The staff was helpful, the room was spacious and clean. Parking in the lower lot was adequate for those drining or pulling a boat trailer.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was average at best. The lack of quality finishings was noticeable including the cheap shower head. Paint was peeling off the trim in the shower and the toilet seat was loose and wobbly. The apartment was clean but there was bleach stains all the way though the apartment on the carpet....

It is from my point of view a 4 stars hotel - the room was very large, with a double bed, 2 single beds, a balcony and all other necessary facilities. There is a swiming pool and a nice restaurant which serves breakfast & dinner. Although there is no common kitchen for guests to cook for themselves, the Chef (after...

Stayed at the Picton Yacht club for one night at the end of March 2017. We were driving from Auckland to Queenstown and arrived in Picton on a late afternoon ferry. We stayed in a standard double room, the room was quiet small and on the road side of the hotel. There was also no aircon, just a window. The...

Part of the hotel is new and part is older. The older has been partly renovated but it is like they ran out of money half way through. Staff are friendly, service is good and restaurant has good food and service but it is let down by some of the rooms

When walking the Queen Charlotte track we stayed at Picton Yacht Club before and after the walk. Our first night we had an older family room, 1 queen bed and 2 twins, large room with a table, unfortunately on the ground floor so no view. The room was very old and dated, but clean and sufficient for what we needed....
