Nice, friendly hostel. Offers free transport to the Interisland ferry terminal. Up the hill from " metro" Picton. Across the street from a small cemetery. I was the only person in my shared accommodation with ensuite during the offseason. They have a cat. NZ Scones are US biscuits, fyi.

Stayed at tombstone a few months ago in a dorm room for a few nights and enjoyed my stay. Nice people and close to the ferry and shops would stay again if in the area the kitchen is great for cooking in.

This backpackers is very close to the ferry but it is a nice quiet place to stay. The room was excellent and so were the bathrooms, both the bathrooms and room were very clean. It was an added bonus that the owner makes complementary scones for breakfast every morning, they were very nice too.

I stayed here twice during my visit to NZ. My first night there we pitched our tent in the back - if you are on a budget, I highly recommend doing the same. The second time I stayed I had a private room and bathroom which was ~$90. The room was very small (your toilet and shower are in the...

We hadn't stayed in hostels before, but having said that we did stay in 8 on this tour. We were in the apartment here. It had a real wow factor when we were shown into it. Very modern and well decorated. Windows to 3 sides, 2 with great views. Owners were around a lot and eager to please. Particularly appreciated...

I stayed in a dorm at Tombstone for one night after arriving in Picton on the ferry from Wellington. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to take advantage of all of the great features of this hostel (too tired from travel), but it seemed like a really fun place to stay again in the future. The wifi was good,...

The team at the Tombstone were happy to hear you had an enjoyable stay apart from the bed allocation. Unfortunately those beds were allocated to other guests that night but they failed to show. When bookings are made via the internet guests are automatically placed in allocated beds that show availability and when we are full and some guests stay...

Free Breakfes, a spa pool and very friendly staff. The location is close to the farry and the town centre, its not long to the fresh choice either. 2 cats and a dog live around here too. All in all a really amazing hostel.

While waiting to catch a ferry I was given these details for a place to have a shower and rest before I left. The staff were fantastically helpful and happy to assist. Everything I saw here was good. The guests seemed happy, the showers were big and clean. Great atmosphere and very kind and helpful
