Akaroa is a quaint beachside town with a french influence. The motel is in a brillant location, walking distance to restaurants, cafes, cinema, water sports and has fabulous views of French's Bay and the rolling hills opposite. Our room was immaculately clean but everything was tired. The beds and pillows were saggy and flat, towels thin and furniture worn. Even...

I opted for a beachfront unit and wasn't disappointed, it was certainly worth the extra in pricing and being placed on the upper level made an ideal position to watch the sun come down and a purely delightful way to start a morning. Bed is excellent, extremely comfortable and well presented, a little short on pillows to add the extra...

Great waterfront location, close to the best coffee shop in town, great bar/restaurants, bakery and the Saturday farmers market. Fun things to do at the motel (outdoor pool table, giant chess board, bikes, crepes on Sunday, petanque etc). Rooms were modern, clean and tidy. Friendly French staff. If we get back to Akaroa we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed right on the waterfront. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. So much thought into fun for the family: snooker table, large connect four, games all laid out and on Sundays, a crepe wagon... sad not to visit on a Sunday. Blissful night, we would love to return.

The motel is set on the edge of town and enjoys views of the harbour. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the reception staff friendly and helpful. The kitchen area was clean however aside from cups, glasses, plates and cutlery there wasn't a vast amount of kitchen equipment. This was no problem to us since we wanted...

We had 5 nights in a one bedroom unit. We had a harbour view which was spectacular. The place is extremely quiet. The bed was very comfortable. It is in walking distance to everything. Very friendly staff. There is ample parking and a laundry on site.

We were disappointed that we did not have any hot water for showering. We were also concerned that the cooking pans needed some attention as the handles were loose. Attention to detail was lacking. However, the location is extremely good, easy walk to restaurants and bars.

An excellent motel/apartment. Overlooking the water from upstairs was very relaxing. The apartment was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. The only negative was the very poor shower (very low water pressure).

Lovely reasonably priced accommodation on the waterfront. Handy to town, walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Wonderfully cute village with amazing cottages and gardens,a delight to walk thru. Lots to do on the water......dolphins, sea birds, and boat trips. Very relaxing ,or energetic, whatever you choose. !!
