The Village Inn was very comfortable ,well run,clean and close to everything in this area, we could have stayed longer to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery.If you are an artist you could easily spend 2 weeks taking in the never ending sights.

These apartments are one of the best we stayed in during our 3 week stay in New Zealand: Beautiful views, wonderful spar and above all an EXTREMELY comfortable bed: Our hosts, Shane and Kerry where friendly and very helpful. A stay here would certainly NOT disappoint anyone;

Hello 649buckb, Thank you for sharing with the TripAdvisor members about your stay with us. The beds are very comfortable - we have had guests miss check-out, as they slept in!! Akaroa is a magical place and the harbour is too beautiful to be real! Akaroa Village Inn is very blessed to be right opposite the harbour so guests can... More

The complex is immediately opposite the main waterfront and wharf. In the summer because of the earthquake in 2011 we have cruise ships arriving into the village and this makes a busy and interesting harbour. Lots of day trips and things to do.

Quaint comfortable good size room and bathroom. Good heaters and wifi. Well stocked kitchen area. I note you did have to wash up any dirty dishes or there would be a fine. You can tell this is an older building that has been done up, some little imperfections, but overall a very lovely room on the ground floor with views... More

Hello Nicho123, Akaroa in Winter is a very unique time. It is very peaceful and quiet. As Summer is extremely busy, alot of business owners take their holidays in Winter but they do work together to make sure that there are enough restaurants open. The restaurants do close early though, so late arrivals to Akaroa now have our Convenience Store... More

This hotel is in a perfect location in the idyllic town of Akaroa. The Alpine/Nordic scenery is magnificent and we had a lovey room overlooking the sea. The 2 bed apartment had a well equipped kitchen and dining/sitting room. It was immaculately clean and nicely furnished.

We were very impressed with this property from Kerry at Reception to the quality of the furnishings within our unit. We were upstairs and right opposite the Main Wharf. It's couldn't have been better placed for us. There were several cafes nearby for meals or just a coffee.
