We were fortunate to stay at the lovely Mulberry House B and B just after New Year. Our hosts, Anne and Jack, went above and beyond to make us welcome to their beautiful villa. This is our second stay at Mulberry House and we have stayed in the self-contained cottage and also in the main house. Both times we have...

Lovely friendly hosts who made you feel like family. Lovely room with ensuite and super comfortable bed. Were greeted & shown to our room, then treated to tea & homemade baking on the deck before we explored Akaroa. Easy walking distance to the township. Breakfast the following morning ensured we didn't want snacks on the way home - plenty of...

Mulberry House - the cottage where we stayed is a wonderful wooden house, white weatherboarding and veranda - typical old style New Zealand. The cottage is well appointed and spacious. It is cosy too with options of heaters and log stove. Its location is on the edge of the village, away from the busy French hub, so it is very...

We can highly recommend Mulberry House! My girlfriend and I stayed there for 2 weeks and we enjoyed every minute of our stay! We didn't realise that Akaroa (and lots of the South Island) would be so full. We couldn't find anywhere online to stay but the Information office came up with this option, although it was fairly expensive. Our room and shared (although we were the only ones to use it that night) bathroom were very short of surfaces to put anything...

Mulberry House is beautiful b&b, located not far from the beach and the centre, but still very quiet and away from all the tourists you may find over there. Anne and Jack were really kind and friendly and thus made me absolutely enjoying my 5 nights at this wonderful place! Julian, Germany

Garden room felt like a honeymoon hide-away. We toured NZ for 1 month and although we had a variety of good rooms/lodges, the hospitality we received at Mulberry House B & B made our 2 night stay the most special. A wonderful breakfast on the terrace in sunshine was memorable (as was the convenient previous day's breakfast provided for our...

Wonderful friendly hosts and an extremely characterful cottage. Our hosts Ann and Jack couldn't have been friendlier and gave us a choice of rooms and accommodation as well as offering advice on eating venues for dinner.. The rooms were charming and offered a peep of the Akaroa harbour, set amongst lovely gardens with fresh roses. Jack was up early to...

We stayed one night on New Years Eve. Anne and Jack welcomed us and we're very gracious and hospitable. Comfortable room and bed in delightful period cottage. Private pool and lovely deck with great views. Highly recommended. Nigel & Geoff.
