Our story is initially similar to those below: a fantastic welcome with drinks on the deck with Linda and Ray. Great advice about what to do in Akaroa, a perfect restaurant recommendation and a quiet and comfortable night. We left the next morning feeling relaxed and contented and certainly not expecting the major earthquake that shook the area at lunchtime....

Linda and Ray were great hosts, warm and welcoming, relaxing living space and easy access to all things Akaroa. Recommend this B&B to all that enjoy a casual wine, a clean and comfortable accommodation just like home with great hosts.

It was our first night in NZ, jet lagged etc. We were made so welcome by Linda And Ray that words fail me. The room was well equipped, very comfortable bed, separate bathroom wc. I stay in hotels and b+bs 120 nights a year and to date havent stayed in a better place, neither had or been made so welcome....

We stumbled into Acapella in Akaroa without a plan.... Day one in NZ. What a way to start! Linda & Ray have set the bar high for our standards in NZ. Lovely hosts, great location, great recommendations. Had the best sleep I'd had in a while. They really made our time in Akaroa special!

All Akaroa hotels were full, but one of them recommended Acapella Lodge. They were right - this was one of the best places we lived in the 5 weeks, we spend in NZ.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were surrounded with warmth and hospitality. Ray and Linda treated us like cherished friends. The location is wonderful, the views fabulous, and the "tourist" recommendations were spot on. This stay was the "icing" on our New Zealand trip. Thank you Linda and Ray.
