Came here for a two night stay with my husband....Monique was a fabulous host - lovely welcome and made to feel at home. We took a suite which was lovely and spacious, and gave us a kitchenette so that we could cook our own meals. Our balcony overlooked the wonderful garden and pool which was open for guests to use....

What I specifically like here is the comfortable rooms, nicely made as ' simple and chique', nicely hidden at the end of small ' camino' in a typical East Algarvian rural landscape. The sea is not far away, the pool is great and the heart of the village were you will see mainly local Portuguese drinking their coffee, is just...

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Casa Verdazul at the beginning of October 2014 and we had the penthouse suite which has a splendid large sitting space outside which is well furnished with a table and 4 chairs, umbrella and a pair of long loungers. Beautiful view to the coast and sea. The room itself is spacious with...

Thank you Peter and Di for your helpful comments. We really enjoyed having you as guests at Casa Verdazul. I am glad I had the chance to explain the few details that needed attention during your stay. These little things are being taken care of now during our end of year maintenance period. As you know, the toilet flushed without...

Our first (and last) experience with Portugal took place in 2009 and was not a very nice one. This summer we've spent our holiday in Casa Verdazul and we were hoping for a better experience compared to last time. And better it was..... The location itself is nice and quiet, the hosts Graham and Monique are friendly and kind, the...

We have given ourselves the opportunity to stay at Casa Verdazul a number of times in the recent years. Nice and central with friendly hosts in a relaxed atmosphere. Over the years we met several of the other guests, who have since been lasting friendships. Meeting each other here, over and over again. Quiet nights socializing in the garden. Lazy...

This place is ok at first glance but we have stayed in far nicer places in Portugal for a little less money per night and with better overall service. It is very off the beaten track and quiet. We stayed for 6 days and our room wasn't cleaned once during our stay. The room itself was spacious and fairly (but...

Thank you for your review, we take all comments very seriously and regret that our accommodation did not live up to expectations. Regarding the location - we are NOT off the beaten track, there is a village with a very good restaurant, two grocery stores, a pharmacy a café and a post office only 500 meters from the guesthouse. On...

Our first trip to Portugal, to go walking in the hills and steer clear of the tourists. This is an ideal spot for doing that: spacious, immaculate, fantastic coastal views, excellent facilities. Graeme and Monique are warm, friendly and very helpful; they made us feel instantly welcome. Nestled away in the hills, it's still very convenient for Tavira and for...

We stayed for a couple of nights and loved this property. The rooms are spacious and each has its own kitchen, a private patio and they also have a couple of barbecues around the pool area. The property is very well taken care of, great decor in the rooms, brand new bathrooms, very tastefully done and great landscape around the...
