This is a really hard place to review. If you are looking for luxury it is not for you. The manor house is steeped in history and it was fascinating to speak to the Count about his family's connection to the house. It is a working farm and the surrounding grounds are interesting. We visited in November and in reality...

The grounds are beautiful and the house makes you feel that you are viewing history. The count is charming and makes you feel at home. The dinner was basic Portuguese food. The dinning room table remained me of Downton Abbey. So really is an interesting experience. But I would only go for one night because the rooms are musty, the...

The property oozes history and the Count (owner) is charming alas the property has been neglected and the rooms are musty. It is evident to the naked eye that the property and owners have seen more glorious times. While we arrived late in the evening the owner scurried to rustle up some food and wine. There was no staff available...

I've visited this place time and again because I live not far away. I take visitors there to see the gardens and the lovely extensive view towards to ocean, and I'm always impressed with the care and concern for my comfort and happiness, the especially kind greeting by all the family. I was invited to ramble all over the farm,...

We rented an apartment which was one of several converted horse stalls, all very nicely done while a little dark. The hot water wasn't! It was lukewarm at best and certainly deterred one from showering. We were made welcome and informed we could visit the whole property which was situated on a stunning site with a view of Ponte de...

From the moment you drive into this 600 year old gem you notice the care put into the garden and building exteriors. Then there is the very warm and genuine welcome: "while you are on the property, pick any of the fruit that you'd like to eat". Then the informal guided tours that are done with pride and knowledge, but...

This old manor house is set in beautiful grounds with vineyards. The views from the pool are stunning with views of the bridge in ponte De lima. The count is a great host and incredibly knowledgeable, ask him about the history of the table of the four priests up the hill. This is a great base for visiting the coast...

Beautiful castle like house with wonderful gardens and great views on the valley and even Ponte de Lima river and roman bridge. Above the gardens of the house is a lovely swimmingpool, very modern and clean with great views. The only thing we didn' like was there is no lunch or diner service and no coffeemachine or fridge, so you...

We were welcomed by the count into his authentic manor. The manor is amazing and typical. The count showed us around and told us some of the history. Ponte de Lima and surroundings are beautifull and also typical. If there was anything negative to mention, it must be the beds. They were also antique and hard. Next morning the count...
