Jharana Resort is well located to Navegaon gate, just 200meters from the gate. The resort is very well maintained. The support staff is really very co-operative. Mr Sandip, the manager is very polite, efficient and helpful. He called upon vehicles and coordinated with the drivers for our Tadoba safari. There is a small lake just outside the resort and is quite beautiful. Don't walk there alone without consulting Sandip-ji. We stayed there for 2 nights. The food quality and taste was awesome. Mr Gourav who looks after this food preparation and serving has been very courtious and prepared food carefully so that it is not too spicy! We really enjoyed the food. Thanks to Mr Sandip and Gourav. Special mention is about Ms Neeta madam from Nagpur office who helped us booking the resort and reach the location without any glitches. She was so accurate in telling the driver where to take turn etc that it avoided long turns. Don't depend upon Googlemaps as it shows some location in Chandrapur which is wrong! Thanks to Neeta madam for saving our time!

My daughter, wife and I were on long awaited trip to Tadoba National Park over this long weekend. Both my daughter and wife were already scared of a Safari and hence I had booked only one Safari and that too on a buffer gate. Upon reaching Jharana Jungle Lodge, we were welcomed very cordially by Jayant and his team (Nisha, Amol, Amit Yogesh). We were shown to our cottage which was very spacious and comfortable. Everyone liked the ambiance from the very moment of entering the resort. The best thing for us was that it had a very nice swimming pool. Presence of pool alleviated my daughter’s safari fear a bit. Everyone from the resort team spoke to her about tigers and safaris and patiently answered all her repetitive queries patiently till the time she boarded the gypsy for the safari. All arrangements were nicely done. We never had to ask for anything on our own. Even our breakfast was packed in our gypsy and so we could experience having a breakfast in the midst of a jungle. We could not have even thought about a having better safari stay. I would very strongly recommend Jharana Jungle Lodge to all of you visiting Tadoba National Park. We have already started planning a revisit.

We Had visited Jharana in Nov 2019. This beautiful property is located at a very strategic location and is literally a stone's throw away from the Navegaon Gate, which makes it very convenient especially in the winters. We travelled to the resort on 19 Mar 21 and took three cottages that had been booked earlier by us. While the cottages, restaurant and other areas have been tastefully designed, it was the upkeep and maintenance that was disappointing and not as expected. The linen was stained, the bathroom fittings and utilities were grimy to say the least. While the food was okay, the buffet variety was very limited considering the charges levied for AP meal plan. In today’s time and age, connectivity plays an important role. In the absence of mobile networks in the area, the resort should have provided WiFi in every cottage. However, it was only available in the Reception Area!! Unlike other resorts which organise star gazing, nature walks, musical evenings, high tea etc, none of these was arranged or offered. The Staff, although courteous, lacked enthusiasm and service. Everything had to be asked for, sometimes repeatedly. Overall, the resort property is nice. However, the attitude and upkeep of the place needs serious improvement. Considering the charge of ₹11,000/- per cottage inclusive of meals, one definitely expects far better service and facilities to be provided. Would not recommend unless significant improvement is undertaken by the Staff

Cons: After checkin we got to know swimming pool was under repair. We choose this property because of pool and children play area,which was also not fully constructed. The food prices are extremely exorbitant. They charge Rs 100 for 200 ml milk. Also breakfast is served only from 8.30 to 9.30 am. Same breakfast they charged us at rs 1400 extra since we had gone to morning safari and had it at 10.20 am. No change in breakfast consumed from the one served at 8.30 am. Very few guests at the property and under maintenance and hence they try to earn maximum from the guests which are staying at the property. Very rude and Pathetic front desk staff, they are trained to charge maximum to the customer.
Pros: Property is very close to Navegaon Core Gate. Only 300m away Good naturalist they have hired,Mr Parag Deshpande, explained us many things about the jungle life and tigers over various session he had conducted, like nature trail, jungle talk, well learned practical guy. Restaurant manager Ravi Iyer and Yogesh were very supporting. they offered food choices for our kids who can't have regular spicy food. they ensured to take good care of every individual.
No wifi in room, and with erratic signal strength, u are cut off from routine life and truly enjoy nature.
With good reception staff and food policy needs to be addressed immediately, if they need good repeat customers. Currently won't recommend the resort to anyone.

We stayed at this property from Dec 20 till Dec 23. The safari was from Navegaon gate and it's just walking distance from the hotel. The resort arranges a breakfast pack for you to eat during the safari. It is an amazing experience to have a mini picnic in the forest in your gypsy. The safari was a huge success for us as we spotted tigers in both the core zone and the buffer zone. The property is huge with amenities such as a pool, indoor games, archery and an open gym. The food is basic and not fancy but it tastes good. The staff is good though a bit of attention could be paid to some insect sprays in the rooms. It's a jungle so a bit of insects is expected but a spray might be useful. I'd specially like to call out Sandeep, Gaurav for their superb hospitality and the other girl in the restaurant (whose name I forget). They were very professional and prompt in their service. I'd recommend this place as it provides a wonderful refuge in the dense jungle. You're guaranteed to see clear skies, and breathe in fresh air.

It was our privilege to visit Tadoba jungle. It was our dream come true, always wandering to visit the place with the highest number of Tigers in the world.
Tiger Safaris in the jungles are one of the most sought exciting and thrilling experiences we witnessed. It was our pleasure to visit this great place along with my dear family and together with my best FRIENDS and their family.
The Host Mr. and Mrs. Raj and Sangeeta Mahadik made all the arrangements for us right from picking us from the Hotel and riding us in his Pajero car along with the New Breeza car thanks to my friend ACP Virendra Wankhade too. Our arrangements were made in a luxurious Resort name JHARANA Resort located near Navegaon safari gate. The resort was to us like a place in the midst of a jungle with plenty of trees and sceneries of wildlife and we're thrilled to see the place enjoying the best moments of our life time. The resort cottages were spacious and had a very good ambiance and nature type look, with big bed and couch to rest on, which made us more comfortable and happy. We were greeted by Mr. Parag Deshpande and Mr. Pranit Suryavanshi they both made us comfortable by their loving nature and love and their knowledge of wild animal forest reserve. Mr. Parag Deshpande Naturalist and a researcher of animals gave us some important inputs about the Tadoba jungle safari do's and do not rule in jungle, why and how the name of the jungle came to be known as Tadoba and Andhari Sanctuary. Further he informed us during the bornfire, about how Tadoba Sanctuary, is one of the biggest sanctuary tiger reserves that it houses more than 40 of these Big Cats. Tadoba National Park is 116 Sq. Km in the area. Mr. Parag Deshpande made all arrangements of our safari trip and our we all were so excited to see the Tigers but unfortunately we were not that lucky but apart from the tiger the predator, there are lots of other animals found here such as the Indian Bison, Spotted Dear, Sambar, Indian Langur monkeys then Birds We enjoyed the food from Breakfasts to Dinner and hi tea. We too appreciated the welcome drink to the Dinner which was lavish and served with loving and careness. Kajal served us with the delicacy and with her loving nature. The food and people of the resort were excellent and cooperative. Our gratitude toward them is all we can return back and hope to visit in near future at the earliest. Jharna resort is a very nice resort having excellent ambience and food quality. A very apt place to stay with family and friends.I had very nice experience at this resort. It is situated at a really good location so that we can access all the major parts of tadoba.The staff is very friendly and co-operative .As far as extra curricular is considered ,it has a swimming pool,club house and conference. One of the best part I liked about the resort was the variety and the quality of food available.

room: sapphire cottages were spacious and well maintained. only suggestion is to make geysers work properly
food: buffet system good variety and tasty food, breakfast packed for safari was also good
location: very close to navegaon gate, so if you are booking safari through navegaon gate its excellant location. however if u are booking safari through other gates they will be 45-120 minutes drive. and the roads are horrible.
staff and managers: mrs bhagyashree did the booking prompty however could not give me clear information about status of safaris, local resort managers mr raj, mr sachin were nice and hearing. however we had few tense moments with them due to the lack of surety of our safari bookings. head chef was ready to comply with our food requests. good staff.
safari: i stayed 23rd to 25th December 2023. and booked the stay around 30days prior to the visit. the reason i booked jharna was firstly i have stayed here before and secondly they seemed to be the only one who were offering possibility of booking safari. though they committed to me one core and two buffer zone safaris they were able to give me only 2 buffer safaris. both from sirkeda gate which which was 60minutes drive from the resort. we had 1 tiger, 1 leapord and few varieties of deer sighting.
iam not sure if the resort is to blame for this or maharashtra govt. but i feel more needs to be done to ensure people staying in local resorts and have come from far off places need to be given priority to do safari from gates closest to resort. resort people told me that in this peek season safari bookings need to be done 2-3 months in advance. i dont think many people can plan short weekend getaways 2-3 months in advance. due to which there is too much last minute chaos to know if the safari is confirmed or not. people go to tadoba not for the resorts but for the safaris. i think govt needs to give the local resorts and hotels the ability to provide there customers gaurenteed safari atleast from the gate closest to the resort. there was too much confusion about the status of our safari which created few tense moments for us and few arguments with the resort managers. which was avoidable. i would request the resort owners to look into discussing this with the govt people and make some arrangements.
i visited from telengana and the most noticeable thing about our road journey was the drastic change in quality of roads the moment state changed from telengana to maharashtra. the highways and the local tadoba roads are pathetic. bringing your own vehicles may cost you a bomb to repair your car after return!!!! the roads are soooo bad. Hi, I don't think there should be a problem during Holi. The resort is spacious and beautiful. A very good place to celebrate Holi indeed. You can ask Mr Jayant to make a special cuisine as food served here is simple just like home. Since this resort is situated outside Jungle you don't have any stores close by.Check online for safari booking and decide your dates accordingly. Kids will enjoy staying in the resort as they a swimming pool and indoor gaming arena.
Yes, definitely. There is a pool where they can play around. Since it is winter I don't think they swim, but then there are many book on birds and animals which they could read. This place has a naturalist who might be able to help out kids in teaching them about local birds and animals. During nights they put up campfire on request; so I guess it should be a good place for your kid.
