If you're searching for heaven, look no further. Aqua Outback is a little piece of heaven located 1 foot from the sea on one side and 2 feet from a lagoon on the other side, with salt plains all around. It's a mecca for all those in search of water sports or a quiet, romantic getaway with enough space for everyone. I personally was looking for a place to learn kitesurfing, and after one call with their team, I was sold. It's an oasis with nothing around for miles. This place is absolutely amazing and beautiful, but what I found most beautiful among this little slice of heaven were the hosts. If the place doesn't win you over, they surely will. Everyone gets three meals a day, and I kid you not, you won't need anything else at all. From fresh catches from the sea to fresh veggies for the vegetarians out there, they've thought of it all. The place is really clean, well-maintained, and well-connected, with their staff being super supportive and always catering to your every need. They will be uploading new pictures of the rooms as they are being renovated. The water sports you can find here are kitesurfing, kiteboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and foiling. Don't wait; go now!

The property is just off the ocean and you can hear the waves lapping the shore. The dining area and the sit out are wonderful places to just chill with a book. The shallow waters around the bay are perfect for kayaking for the uninitiated. The snorkeling experience was well organised and professionally handled. I just tried the introduction to kite surfing since we didn't have enough time on our trip to take the complete course. I felt it was overpriced but it was interesting. The food is great and the kitchen serves you amazing veg options. Carry your own drinks and you are set... The rooms are average, basic and clean. They are designed so that you spend most of your time outdoors anyway. We took a long walk across the salt flats to try to spot flamingoes, no luck there. Pick a nice time of the year and you can chill in and around the property with the 11 friendly dogs that are around.

The hosts are friendly and chatted with all of us. Would definitely like to visit again sometime.

Its not until I actually reached there did I fully understand what a beautiful place it is. I would recommend this place to anyone who desire a slices of Sea. The resort is just abuts the tranquil Gulf of Mannar and one can hear the gentle lapping of the waves if one opens the windows. Its a small property built to a modest eco style resort, but what a location- Words can't express it. You must visit it to feel it. I used to take my afternoon siesta by the lounge sitting on those old fashioned jute recliners, being lulled to sleep by the gentle lapping of the waves. The staff is extremely helpful and cooperative and in 2 days I made some good friends there. The food is homely and blissful and the activities like Scuba Diving, Kayaking and Kite Surfing make it a fun filled package. Its truly an hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

In short, over hyped, Over rated, shamelessly over priced.
Despite the friendly untrained staff this place is just a shack lost between salt pans and the sea, with a nuclear power plant and a salt factory. The gears for the proposed activities were missing or broken, food is average, rooms and bathroom have the bare minimum. For that asked price it is a scam. Avoid at all cost.

The sea facing rooms had a small window that had to be kept shut for hordes of flies. There were no tables or chairs in the rooms, which were unswept. The staff was raw and untrained. They could barely understand English or Hindi. We tried gesturing wildly to communicate, exciting the seven dogs on the premises. The tarrif was too high for the low standards of the shack. The stay was a complete disaster.

Gem! A hidden place known for warm hospitality and turquoise waters. The Kite surfing academy and scuba diving centre are top class and run by experienced individuals.

Sunrise and sunsets can be enjoyed with a coffee in hand and pet dog in the other. Some deep conversations on the flora and fauna to enhance your knowledge. The family is extremely warm and courteous.

Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!
Can't wait to go back. The place is off the beaten path, but totally worth it. Their reading nook by the sea was my escape and the food and snacks never stopped. And did I mention how delicious the food was. One of the days the kids helped with the pizza making as well. Don't think twice, this place will blow you away.

Went as a family of 12 (8 adults and 4 children) and had the best time of our life. Photos , website and reviews do not do justice to this place, the attitude of the team, the delicious food, million photo ops, fun activities, Arjun and his wonderful Mom. I can keep going on and on about each of the above reasons.

A must visit location and you will definitely keep going back.We are already planning for a weekend stay so that we can enjoy all the activities at a more relaxed pace.

The owners of this place Rohini & her son Arjun are great hosts. Made us feel very comfortable & welcome. The food was excellent & the sea views are awesome. The trip to a near by island in the early morning is worth it. Great place for a weekend getaway.

Hi, You can fly/drive/train/coach to Tuticorin and the Manager will arrange transport for you to Aqua Outback by Car. You need to select which mode of travel will accommodate your dog. I guess pets will be allowed, but you need to check with the Manager. Enjoy.
