Three Waters Resort & Marina offers a picturesque waterfront location that is a hit among boaters, according to many travelers. While the hotel's atmosphere is lively, opinions on the music and service are split, with some guests finding the ambiance enjoyable and the staff welcoming, yet others report neglect. The value proposition is a point of contention, as high costs and a lack of amenities leave several guests dissatisfied. Room experiences vary, with comfort and views praised by some, but cleanliness and upkeep by others. Amenities, including watersports and dining options, are generally well-regarded despite some needing updates.

My husband and I have been docked at the Post Card Marina since the beginning of Jan 2020 and staying until May 2020.
I knew of Post Card Resort and Marina from previous years but have never stayed with a boat at the Marina.
I have been dealing mostly with Mike the Post Card Marina Manager.
Before my husband and I arrived Mike gave me all the information I asked for with quick responses! He is always visible and does regular checks to make sure boats are tied up properly (tide changes etc) as well as answering any questions or just even a quick chat or laugh! They’re all very nice!

The brilliance of docking at the Post Card is you are not just docking your boat but enjoy all their amenities which are abundant.

The grounds are beautiful and the landscaping crew keep it that way. You have nice looking garage bins that you can walk off your boat, put it in the bin and they change it several times a day.

At night, they’re are fire pits to sit around, torches are lit, beautiful lighting strung up from palm tree to palm tree!

They have a raw bar, tiki hut, great restaurants, phenomenal pool and beach, all looking over the picturesque turquoise ocean.

The staff (friends now) are truly amazing and always there to help and have a laugh!

The Marina has fuel and pump-out services. If you’re stay for a longer period of time you can register for weekly pump-outs and they come right to your boat. Nice thing about this service is it is provided by the community to help protect our oceans and it’s FREE!

If boating isn’t your thing then the resort is everything you could ever want to relax, splash around and just have fun. The Post Card is for families, couples or just chilling by yourself. They have a swim up bar, trampoline in the ocean, rental bicycles, the list goes on.

I love it here and I know I’m giving it 5 stars because I believe you would love it here too!

This place gets a lot right but by Covid standards there is room to improve. They did a good job at check in and explained there would be no cleaning, etc, and even provided a mask to a patron that entered without a mask on to ask a question, so check in has it covered. Other areas not so much.

Our room was nice enough and ready upon our arrival. It was an ocean front king. The bed was comfy and a small balcony provided a place to sit and enjoy the view and passerby’s. They had a live band the second night we were there but hubby wasn’t in the mood so you could hear it somewhat but it wasn’t bad with the tv on and I wouldn’t hold this against them since you should enjoy it vs going to bed at 8, but that’s another story 🥳😏. I just mention this in case you do retire early the music could be a consideration on your location.

The grounds were very nice although there is no real grass for your pet to potty on. We had taken our dog with us as did many others. There are complimentary kayaks, paddle boards, bocce ball, bag throws, in addition to chairs by the water and by the pool. There are also several places to eat and the food was good everywhere, however service at the Tiki bar for breakfast was extremely slow.

Andrew was the busiest person we saw, taking care of whatever needed to be done.....pick up dirty dishes, encourage you on paddle boards, clip wayward palm branches. He just seemed to be everywhere and always a smile and happy words for you.

Gladys, at the pool towel station, was great as well. She went above and beyond when she saw us struggling to get the sand off our dog and we really appreciated her help and service there.

Edwin at the ciao hound was also an excellent server.
The biggest issue I had is there seemed to be NO cleaning or distancing at the pool. I never saw one chair disinfected and there were only a couple of masks the entire day with the exception of my husband and I. None on the overworked bartender, even when he was delivering food, and none on the patrons that got closer and louder after being served by the overworked bartender. I would give them an F in Covid safety at the pool and at the amenities, as the paddles, etc, were not cleaned between patron use.

At the Tiki bar for breakfast a group kept adding to their table, the server said something and told them they had to move to a bigger table but that took forever to get setup and in the mean time they were right beside us, sans masks, hanging out. They should have been asked to wait away from the table. A hit and a miss on Covid safety in my opinion. The food was very good there but the setup is very inefficient and therefore makes things very slow. 1 1/2 hr for breakfast🤪

We would stay here again but I would not return as long as Covid is an issue. I’d also not be in a hurry when I ate at any of their facilities, but maybe that’s the Islamorada way. So with the Covid issues and slow service that is why my rate of only a 3.

We stayed for two nights in an oceanfront room on the second floor with our Travelzoo coupon, for which we paid $159 a night plus resort fee of $35 or so. The grounds are beautiful, very tropical, with a nicely heated pool and lots of water toys like paddle board and kayaks to experiment with. The oceanfront has several floats out in the water that kids will love. It was nice to have so many shady (as well as sunny) spots to lounge along the water. Also appreciated the bicycles; the hotel is in a great spot to explore by bike, with the Morada Way arts street not far away, as well as other properties to poke around, such as the Cheeca and the Moorings (we like to bike).

We had nice fat gulf oysters at sunset both nights at the top deck of the Raw Bar, a new and welcome addition to the hotel. The property has several places to eat. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was great. It had an odd lack of lighting tho; one bedside lamp seemed to be missing, and the other one provided light for the entire room. Though the bathroom was small, the shower was perfect. I don't think there are elevators, so if stairs are difficult, request a first-floor room.

The staff was universally kind and helpful. The lobby has a little hang-out space and a desktop computer, plus beach books to borrow. Breakfast was included in our deal; there's a breakfast room at the Pelican Cove resort next door, which the Postcard Inn owns. It was a simple affair with bagels and muffins and cereal and hard-boiled eggs, but there were outdoor tables and we appreciated being able to stroll over (we even saw a mother and calf manatee one day on the way), eat and get the day going so easily. January, especially the first three weeks, is relatively quiet in South Florida in spite of the perfect weather so we've found it's a good time to take advantage of deals.

We stayed here on the first night of reopening the sate to visitors...June 1st. The rooms were all thoroughly sterilized and then sealed with tape to assure that we were the first to enter the covid free room...that was a great idea! There was no daily housekeeping so it would reduce the amount of traffic of others in/out of our room. Towels and toiletries were left at door in a bag daily. Staff walking around wiping down rails and cleaning public bathrooms at the marina the entire day. They did a great job making you feel comfortable about this uncertainty and of getting back to normal and being able to travel again! 👏🏻
Perfect location! We have a boat and were able to dock it each night at the marina. Boat slips are for rent daily. Tiki bar was on site and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cold beer! The pool area was nice and faces the water...beautiful setting. Swim up bar! We will definitely be staying here for future trips to Islamorada!

Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied during our 8-night stay. We had some booking issues as we wanted a room with a full tub, so the owner gave us a free breakfast pass and gave us a good discount for our stay as condolences!

We took advantage of the kayak and paddle board rentals, and the beach services stand was happy to get us out there on the water! The boundaries allowed us to go a mile from the resort beach to the drawbridge.

The room we had in the 600-series cottages was clean, modern, and had a great outside view through its large windows. The bathroom was very large, had a full tub with shower, many amenities and the like.

Texting the front desk allows you to request towels and washcloths in an easy, contactless manner. You can also let them know when you'd like used towels to be picked up (leave in a bag by the front door).

Both pools on the Postcard Inn property were clean and well-maintained, the largest having a poolside bar and great ocean view. The live band at the Tiki Bar was fun and sounded quite good!

Additionally, with the Postcard Inn wristbands, you are permitted to use the amenities at the adjacent Pelican Cove resort as well as their two other properties.

I highly recommend this resort for all it has to offer!

My family and I stayed at the Postcard Inn, Islamorada during July 2020. We brought a boat and kept it in a covered wet slip at the marina. Wayne at the marina was very helpful. Also Capt Chuck Trapp, the charter captian with Tattered Flag Sportfishing was excellent. We stayed 5 days and snorkeled every day. Our stay was during covid we saw people constantly sanitizing high touch surfaces. The property only has two pools, one of them appeared to be heated to 104 degrees and the other was next to a pool bar and not very family friendly due to the alcohol. This resort works for our family. We would definitely consider staying here on our next keys trip.

Our check-in went smoothly and we were offered water and champagne. Our room (king lanai) in building 200 was exactly as advertised on the resort website. Room was clean, but it is a basic size hotel room with a very small bathroom...no frills or extras. You need to do your research on the website to determine what kind of room and what view you want to have. The lanai had 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs and looked at beach and water, including beach chairs and people in view. The room did seem damp all four days, almost like the A/C unit could not keep up with humidity, so that might get worse in summer months. The public areas were kept clean daily by many staff; they raked the beach every morning, cleaned up seaweed and trash cans. It was nice to have kayaking included. Pool area was nice and clean; pool bar was good with friendly staff. There was nice lighting all around resort, especially at night around beach areas. There was a good live band at the Raw Bar area with a lot of different types of seating areas. Our only complaint was the extremely loud, club/dance style music played at the pool everyday, all afternoon. It was simply way too loud and obnoxious type of music, especially considering most guests were 50+ years old. It would have been nice to hear beach style music or easy listening. I said something to manager woman at check-out but she did not want to hear my opinion, she kept making excuses for the club music. Other than the bad music, the resort was nice and as expected. Yes, it is expensive during spring break and peak seasons. The resort location is good with many local restaurants nearby. We recommend Bayside Gourmet and Bittons. We did not eat at any resort restaurants.

Customer service isn't even a thought at this place. The front desk gave our room away, made my family and which includes 2 kids under age 11 and a 6 month old baby wait 4 hours for another room. We had already paid for an early check-in, late checkout and breakfast on the beach for 2 days. When we finally got a room even the staff members didn't know where it was. It took 30 minutes to find it on the back side of the building. The room smelled like fresh paint, the air conditioning didn't work and the bathroom door had glass slots on it that you could see directly through! After expressing our unhappiness and disappointment to staff the excuse for a manager was not willing to do anything to rectify the mistakes they made other than offer us to wait for an "engineer" to come to the room and look at the air conditioner. When my wife told him that it's not enough he told her bring our room keys to the office and he'll just give us a refund. So after waiting 4 hours, spending close to $300 on food and beverages there his solution was throw our money back in our face even though many other smaller hotels and resorts are struggling to stay open through this pandemic. I would never give this place another try. 1 week later and we still haven't gotten a full refund. We have and will continue to contact their corporate office which is the Carlyle Group. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation do yourself a favor and avoid Postcard Inn in Islamorada.

To start with the positive, most of the people who worked here were VERY nice and treated us well. That's where the positive comments stop. I booked this hotel through Travelocity. The rate that was displayed was $395 per night. After selecting Postcard Inn, I then read further down and after all the taxes and fees were applied, the new total was ~$445 per night. This price was boldly displayed next to a TOTAL field. When I showed up at the hotel and after I'd already checked my family into the room, I was presented with a bill in the amount of ~$485. I asked where the additional money came from and was informed that was the "resort fee". I spoke to a manager and despite the obvious bate and switch, he refused to overlook this. After our encounter, he even met me at my room to make sure that I either accepted the charge or he'd be there to personally escort my family out (it was 10pm at this point and our 3 year old daughter was already asleep - no doubt he would have followed through and kicked us out). The service in the restaurant (both dinner and breakfast the next day was INCREDIBLY slow. And finally, we received a lot of rain the morning of our checkout and the parking lot is graded so poorly that when we dragged out luggage up to the front desk, we had to drag it through water up to our ankles and much of our clothing got soaked. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Stayed for a girls weekend, we were able to check in early to our upgraded room. The entire property is gorgeous, the bed was SO comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The one complaint was that housekeeping did not come the entire day we were out sightseeing and then tried to clean when we returned after 5pm, we did call before dinner for turn down service which was not done by the time we came back to our room. Other than that we had a great time and I would definitely come back

No. There is not beach but they are right next door to the Pelican Resort (A sister property) where you can walk there to swim. very small area. As for boats. 25 and under go next door. 26 and over go to the Postcard. Both have direct access to water. Pelican is a little quieter. Postcard busier. Sarah at the front desk is excellent. bait shop in between. Visit them both online.
