The hotel must have been 4 stars in the 1950,s but not anymore. Everything is outdated. The handle of the window in my room was just missing. The sheets are either 20 years old or were not cleaned at all. The toilet starts moving when you sit on it.Tha staff is completely incopetent. One of the ladies at the reception...

Stayed there for 3 nights in May. Location was perfect, in the heart of Old Riga, within easy walking distance of many tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. Quiet, clean, comfortable room but furnishings & fittings looking a bit worn & shabby. We had an attic room, which was a bit hot & stuffy but air conditioning helped. Buffet breakfast was...

Visited Riga with two friends of mine. And would definitely recommend this hotel to all travellers, business or leisure. Caught the number 22 bus from the airport, 30 minutes later we were in the hotel. Most of the historic sites and things to see are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel facilities include tea room, relaxed bar and...

This hotel is all about location, perfect for sightseeing but quiet enough to rest afterwards. Our room was in the attic and basic at best. The beds and bathroom were clean so can't complain for the price. Remember despite being called a Palace this is a budget hotel in a great location. Breakfast was good, reception was indifferent.

The location could not be more ideal! Fantastic and literally across the road from the black head cathedral, 3-5 minute walk to the old town square and bars/restaurants. Behind the hotel is St. Peter's cathedral and then most gorgeous lunch we had on our first day in golden coffee. Everything is a stones throw and brilliant easy access. The staff...

The hotel is nic, clean and very quiet. The location is perfect. It is in the center of the city close to all the places of interest. But at the same time it is situated on the quiet side of the street. The staff is pleasantly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is quite good. The rooms are cleaned every day very well.The...

Location is perfect, House of the Blackheads is across the road and St Peter's Church is a short walk. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Staff are friendly. We asked for a taxi to the airport and it arrived within 2 minutes. Breakfast was nice and there was plenty of options to choose from. Beds were...

We stayed in February 2017. This hotel is very well placed, right in the heart of the old town, close to the main sights, restaurants and bars, and within easy walking distance of the bus and train stations. The public spaces of the hotel are stylish and impressive, although our room (on the fifth floor) was a little on the...

I booked this place because I wanted to stay in a place that reflected in the decor something of the country I was in. We were landing late and being able to find the place was a consideration as was the price. I was not disappointed with Hotel Garden Palace. Just a 2 minute walk from the airport bus (2...
