We chose the hotel initially from reading other reviews on this website and all the good ones are true. It is perfectly situated with bars, restaurants, museums and other places of interest near by. The hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. Even when I thought I had left something behind, they got back to me straight away. On a...

As in all Kolonna Hotels in Riga you can hear everything what is going on around you. This time I was lucky, the room next to mine was empty half of the time. The staff at reception is very frendly and helpful. The breakfast needs improving, the breakfast staff in the basement too. It is definitely value for money.

Location: Great place in the middle of the old town, less than a minute walk from 'St. Peters church' and 'heads of the blackheads'. With being so close to St. Peter's church and it's tower prominent on the cities skyline, it's easy enough to find the way back to the hotel. Hotel: Basic, but who stays in the hotel when...

This hotel is really good value for your money! Great location in the middle of old town so it is close to everything. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful :) The standard rooms are very small so we upgraded our room to a much larger superior room. The rooms are super clean! The breakfast is not so good...

This hotel is in a great location and was great for the price we paid, a taxi from the old town to the more modern area is around 4-5 euro which was fine with us. However be sure to ask for a taxi at the hotel as we did once get a taxi on the street and he ripped us...

The hotel is well situated in Riga terms and convenient for the city centre and public transport. Plenty of bars and restaurants plus convenience stores nearby. The accommodation is "correct" as the French would say but no more than that. The staff are excellent: really on the job, competent and helpful in every respect.

Taxi from airport for 15 euro was arranged for midnight and was waiting. Massive room with settee and two chairs, clean toilet and shower, warm with comfortable bed. Couldn't hear any street noise. Tv was rather tiny and a little fuzzy on some channels. It had one Latvian, two Russian, two music channels, and in English a bizarre cartoon channel,...
