Not a four star hotel. They tried to doublecharge us as we checked-in. Breakfeast was great, room ok. Our room was very noisy because of the traffic. Bathroom ok. Old, beautiful mansion, but they must try a lot harder to be a genuine four star hotel. Beds weren't that good, only 1-2 english channels in TV. Location ok, not the...

Just returned from Europa Royale Riga. A very nice hotel and well located. The room was very quiet and spacious and overlooked a courtyard. The bathroom was big and had heated floors.. Just great!!! Just returned from Europa Royale Riga. A stunning hotel situated opposite a lovely park. The history is explained in a detail in the room literature and is a fascinating read. The room was very quiet and spacious and overlooked a courtyard. The bathroom was big. The cleanliness was second to none. The staff we found to be very helpful, nothing...

Having independently booked this hotel with an anticipated arrival time of 5.00pm, we were concerned when our flight times were altered twice, courtesy of Airbaltic, changing our arrival time to past midnight. We e-mailed the hotel, to advise them of our anticipated very late arrival hoping that this would not cause problems. Arriving at the hotel, at such a late...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June, as a 'treat' at the end of our holiday. We had high hopes for a 4 star experience, but ended up disappointed. On the plus side, it is very well located and has many original 19th century features, including a very nice dining room and lovely seating areas on some...

The Europa Royale is a careful conversion of a magnificent late 19c mansion and a key historic building, centrally located near the Opera House. Some of the detailing is very good and the overall impression is luxurious. However, the general atmosphere is somewhat gloomy - different colours and better lighting would help. There is a small courtyard which would be...

The Europa Royal is truly a house boasting with history. The interior beautifully restored with fantastic details of architecture of the late 1880ties and the level of comfort is just great. It is truly a pleasure to stay in a small hotel yet "large" old house. The location is also great and nothing negative can be written of this very...
