The rooms are clean but very basic and dated. The breakfast is not pleasant with no real choice. It's quite a walk into the main old town. Overall it wasn't bad value for money but I've stayed in much nicer hotels for the same price.

We stayed here during a tour of the Baltics. Location ghastly on a busy, noisy thoroughfare (where locals loved to race each other from traffic lights) and a good half hour from old town, restaurants and shops. Very small bedroom. The tiny bathroom was a joke. Toilet squeezed behind door. Towels obscuring toilet paper, narrow wash basin tucked up against... More

On the positives it was a clean and comfortable bedroom. However the hotel is situated a good 20 minutes walk from the old town. Other than a couple of local bars and small supermarket / shops there isn't much else close by. While I didn't feel at all unsafe wandering around alone, the nearby graffiti clad walls and run down... More

TIA Hotels location is a 15 minute walk out of the old town. Our room was quiet and cool, and the window opened out onto a nature strip. The bedspreads and curtains smelled musty and old, but underneath, the sheets were clean (they would be best off just throwing the bedspreads out - see pic) The bathroom was clean, and... More

The hotel is about 25 minutes walk from the old town. We only had a couple of nights here and one full day in Riga so should have taken the bus rather than always walking. Rooms are small (difficult to find somewhere to put our bags) and you are on a main road so it can be noisy. Breakfast was... More

This hotel doesn't look attractive from the outside but it's okay for some nights. The breakfastbuffet was good. It's quite a walk to the centre of the town but the most beautiful Jugendstilhouses are nearby.

Too far out from centre. Bedroom walls paper thin. Couldn't provide dry cleaning service over weekend. Room was clean, hence the one star. No restaurants nearby and one local bar across the busy road and up a side street. My advice is find another hotel.

This hotel stands on a really run down looking street with buildings boarded up and some in the stage of being knocked down. Not a good impression to start with. Then there are twenty steps to climb before entering the main lobby. Here is where the lift starts so the stairs are unavoidable. There is no air conditioning, which when... More
