I cannot think of a better place where to stay in Jurmala! Large room, nice balcony and view, SPA, breakfast, the staff and service overall was very good! Excellent location! This is the place where we will be staying every time. Me and my husband we both loved this place coz of multiple reasons!

Went to restaurant on weekend for lunch, shortly after 12. We were 2 adults and 2 kids, the only guests in the restaurant. After ordering food and drinks, one drink arrived, the other one did not. We were given cutlery, but no napkins. My daughter wanted to colour a colouring book, she asked two waiters for colouring pencils, but they completely ignored her (she speaks well and asked politely). I was shocked as I was seeing it from our table. I went to her and we asked another waitress for pencils and then we finally got them. I saw that they have pencils at the bar, near juicer, as we were entering the restaurant.  I ordered duck, which was marked as not containing gluten in the menu, as I am allergic. My duck came served with gnocchi. I had to ask waitress if they are gluten free, as stated in menu, because normally gnocchi are not gluten free. She came back from checking and they were not gluten free. If I had not asked that, it would have ended very badly! And i mentioned that i am allergic to gluten when I ordered. They offered to give me grilled veggies instead. The food itself was ok. But service very bad. We had to ask for every thing. And that is with empty restaurant and 6 or 7 waiters chatting among themselves, paying zero attention to guests and no initiative or any motivation to attend to guests. And this is in time when hospitality is struggling due to restrictions. So many people have lost jobs, but here it seemed that nobody cares if the have a job or not and if customers choose to go to that restaurant or not. In short - food was ok, service very bad. Kids room is ok, as kids can play (even though there are unmarked doors there which turns out are linen storage).

It was my second visit in this hotel but will not spend my money on it anymore. The spa receptionist was unpolite and totally useless. We did not bother to book anything. Her attitude was not nice. The room was not cleaned properly and needs some renovation indeed. Wondering why there is no coffee machine/ water boiler in the room. The other hotel guests were Russian. Walked around the hotel without face masks and kept noice also late in the evening. The quality was under zero but high prices they charge for the rooms even when it is not high season. Breakfast was quite ok if we forget the coughing Russians not wearing masks and that the juices were not any good and they were warm. Can not recommend this hotel.

Have just come back from two days trip to Jurmala where hosts organize a bridge tournament every year at about the same time. First time in Hotel Jurmala Spa. Like I indicated, overall impression is definitely good. There are minor details that could be improved for the best benefit of hotel guests. In the morning our team of four visitors used to go to their Spa centre which is definitely excellent. However, it was not possible to get drinking water because water container stood safely at a pool bar which is simply closed at that time (or even closed at every time, who knows?) Secondly, any visitor should know basic facilities every hotel provides for their clients. They say there is an instruction on every service if one only switches TV and follows the instructions. In real life, this was not possible. You even do not know how to call another room via room phone. The selection of TV channels is not sufficient. No BBC, Euronews and some other popular destinations. Breakfast in the morning is very good, no complains about it. Service is fine, staff is polite and helpful. If nothing serious happens, we would come back at the same time next year. Recommended.

Nice hotel which is 5 minute walk from beach and on the main restaurant/shopping street in Jurmala. View from room was fantastic, however room is a little bit shabby in areas and needing a refresh. Spa area was wonderful and very clean. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night and it was really good and well presented food. Breakfast was ok, although some items that had run out weren’t replenished quickly. Overall a nice and relaxing hotel with good amenities in the centre of Jurmala.
