Excellent food, nice drinks. You may eat outside on a terrace. The portions are big. The place is owned by a Latvian family. You may meet the owner when you have your lunch or dinner. A great place to have a relaxing evening.

Slow and bad service. Warm beer, stale bread, stingy portions. Saw 2 turns from a table before we even got our bread. Staff here, for sure, do not like foreigners. Pretended not to know English when we wanted water. But spoke perfect English when we ordered. When we finally got our food, it was pretty good. Not sure if it's...

I've not stayed there but had food on numerous occasions. It always is and has been tasty. Portions are big. Lovely terrace in the summer time. Perfect for children. Service can be a bit too slow sometimes (when its busy) but when you on holiday it doesn't matter. Quite a traditional Latvian food.

my hotel Katrina recommended me to eat at Province with my 4 year old boy. And they were right. There is a big garden with a play ground, toys and rabbits. The childrens menu didn't offer something even a little healthy, that was a pity. But in the normal menu were nice soups and also the fish and vegetables in...

I stayed there at the occasion of the opening day of the Cesis festival; it is a simple hotel, but the bed was excellent, comfortable; nice and spacious bathroom, very good breakfast and within walking distance of all Cesis has to offer: castle, park, festival hall etc... worth its money definitely!!!

This is a good option to eat at in Cesis, as well as a good place to stay. As other people have mentioned, the breakfasts are really very good indeed. On-site parking, and then an easy walk into the middle of Cesis. Didn't try the Wifi, but slept very soundly.

First night they were fully booked so we could not stay there, but we had a good stay the second night. Very friendly staff and owners, good breakfast (and god dinner). Minor problems included bed which could be more comfy - but that is a common Latvian issue, as and WiFi being a little weak.

The photograph shown is quite creative and it is overlooked by flats on two sides with a skate boarding park opposite which can be quite noisy. Having said all that, the rooms are comfortable although the smell of drains was traced to a seal round the toilet. The breakfast was amazing - food kept arriving - meats and cheese, 4...

We stayed (unfortunately only) one night in Province Hotel in Cesis. The room is very clean with a modern bathroom. The restaurant below is a very good choice to have not only the breakfast but also dinner. The food was delicious. Excellent dinner and amazing breakfast with eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, fruits, cheese and so on. We enjoyed our stay very...

“Ask for a room at the back - much quieter, away from both the road and the skateboard park opposite.”
