The bedroom and bathroom in this hotel were very small and cramped, there was dust on headboard for the duration of our stay, the reception staff and diningroom staff were very stern faced, not a smile from any of them, only thing going for this place was the ample selection of food for breakfast, wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed at St. Olav on July 16th and 17th of 2011 our room was room 220. The window opened onto a courtyard deck available for smokers. So at any given time the smokers would be sitting right beside our room window. Of course it is summer and hot and you have to have your window open or you would...

We booked a room in this hotel on the internet for 3 nights. On the plus side, the Hotel St. Olav is located centrally in Tallins old town in an historic and charming building. The building has however its drawbacks. We got a room on the ground level facing the street and next to a common area. There was a...

The costs per room were excellent value, particularly when breakfast was also included. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. The rooms are numerous, the hotel is a bit of a maze with different stairways and its a good job they are numbered.. Our room was on the 4th floor and unfortunately it stank bad. It was the...

We checked in late and were shown to our rooms up two flights of narrow stairs. There is no lift and it was tough on my elderly parents. Our small room was roasting hot , no air conditioning, no fan and the mini bar was broken. We asked to move but the hotel was full they said. We asked if...

Hotel was in a really good location... only a few minutes from the square. Hotel is clean and has a good shower, is used by families/ couples and stag parties. It has 2 computers with free internet service :-) My friend and I both ended up with rooms that had no windows (which wasn’t very good) and opened onto an...

Stayed one night early June 2011. Had booked a standard room , when we arrived we got a complimentary upgrad to a junior suite. The building is a rabbit warren of corridors and stairs and has beams sticking out everywhere it was pretty cool with great character. No lift. The junior suite was huge, with a full kitchen set up...

First time trip to any of the former soviet states and was very impressed with the city. Lots to see and do and was very nice to meander through the streets of the old town. If we were to go back (which we would consider in the future) we would go between May and September as it was freezing cold...

We stayed for 3 nights in a first floor room off of the courtyard. It was tiny! And there was no window, only an opening over the door. We were kept awake until 2:30am by people partying in the courtyard. Although we had made reservations, we should have asked to see the room. On the plus side, the breakfast was...
