Excellent stay! We got deluxe room despite reservation for standard. Next time we will take such a room with a view on the lake - it's worth it! Hotel is perfectly situated - right at the Balaton lake, you can enjoy walking or jogging in both directions. Parking for free at the street (but you can take a garage @... More

Me and my fiancé spent 3 days - 2 nights at Mala Garden, and it was absolutely the best choise ever! What I want to emphasize: cake voucher at arrival what we used on the second day, perfect afternoon event when the weather is not that good, it was delicious!! Friendly and welcoming staff, everywhere: at reception, bar, pool, restaurant,... More

I were here for a business trip for a week. My room was the "worst" in the Hotel, because only one room has not balcony, that was mine. But it was still amazing. The atmosphere was like an East Country, red-golden carpets, small wooden statues. The room was commodious, the bathroom was big, and well-equipped. It was a good place... More

We had a short fall break at The Mala Garden Hotel this week and very much enjoyed our staying. Had one of the corner deluxe rooms overlooking the Balaton. Everything was perfect, the room, the cleaning, Spa was excellent and the food at their restaurant too. Service first class. Will surely be back.

I was looking elsewhere until I saw the review and decided to try it. Wow! what a great place. I travel for a living and can be a bit of a hotel snob, but this place is a 6 out of 5. The room is small but extremely comfortable and well appointed. It has a nice balcony, desk where a... More

Mala Hotel is one of the most relaxing, comfortable and friendly hotels I have stayed in. The view over the lake was amazing with fantastic sunsets (not up in time for the sunrise!!). The sunbathing area was a platform on the lake from which you can swim and then dry off with a cocktail from the bar. Pure bliss. The... More

One of the best hotels in one of the best locations EVER! I have never experienced such a warm and friendly welcome before. The staff is extremely polite and friendly treating you like a friend and more. We were welcomed and seated, offered coffee and juice as refreshment before going up to our beautiful room with a seaview. The hotel... More

We stayed at Mala Garden Hotel last week and highly recommend it. When we arrived, we were given a Welcome Cocktail and then went to lunch in their lovely restaurant. Our room was then ready and we changed and went across the lane to the lake. There's a nice sun deck on the lake with lounge chairs for hotel guests.... More

Lovely hotel- right on the shore of lake Balaton with a great private deck for guests overlooking the lake. Make sure you visit the spa and have a thai massage. We had a side room and although you could see the lake from our balcony, I would probably ask for a room overlooking the lake next time. The restaurant is... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The design solutions of Siófok Mala Garden Wellness Hotel and Restaurant were inspired by the modern architecture of the island of Bali. Bali is found in the Indonesian Archipelago and is one of Indonesia’s more than thirty exotic regions. Bali is famous for its fine arts, among them dance, painting, sculpture, metal and leatherworks and its unique music as well. In the Indonesian Archipelago, Bali is one of the last refuges of Hinduism; hence its everyday life characterised by peace of mind, calm and balance. Respect for the ancestors and nature is a focal point of the philosophy of the island’s natives. This is exactly that particular atmosphere and feeling that guests of Mala Garden or those of the Hotel’s restaurant may experience at the shore of Lake Balaton. The hotel, the restaurant and the rooms too, may be viewed in our Gallery. When designing Mala Garden Hotel Siófok, the key objective was to recreate the Balinese harmony between nature and living space. Opening the huge folding glass walls of the lakeshore restaurant, the garden and the restaurant melt together, blurring the borderline between inside and outside… And the garden near the shore is an unmatched experience for adults and children alike. The artistic water surfaces, garden fountains, fish and aquatic plants of Mala Garden Hotel and Restaurant all remind the viewer of Bali. The harmonic interior is completed by Balinese sculptures, white pebbles, vases and other accessories. The creation of large spaces and the natural materials used add to a full experience of the positive energy the surroundings radiate. ... more   less
