There are many 4 star hotels in Hungary that do not deserve there rating and many three star hotels that deserve a better rating. This hotel is exceptional and I would go as far as to say deserves a 5 star rating. This hotel is part of a rare breed in Hungary. From the minute, we entered reception we were...

This is a beautiful hotel. It is quite new, and seems very well maintained. The wellness area is small, but very nice. We were overall satisfied with our stay. The breakfast is excellent. Not a huge selection, but quality is high. Coffee is freshly served, and its not from some horrible automatic machine. Room was a bit on the small...

Even though it was early in the season the staff were attentive, professional and friendly. This hotel on the lake will not disappoint. The Green Tea Suite was exceptional. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. As a base to explore the region is was prefect. I do not have anything negative to say about this hotel....

Keep in mind that Siófok is a crowded party place in the summer and a ghost town in the off-season. So your experience may vary depending on your expectations and timing. The location of the hotel is great, right by the lake. We went there in April. The place is clean, contemporary with superb view. The staff is great and...

Visited in April, arrived late however hotel staff very accommodating. Room very good, nice decor, high quality and pretty spacious. High quality products in the bathroom. Restaurant food was amazing quality and service very fast, unfortunately service was a bit patchy - the guy serving us had an off attitude. There were a lot of noisy children and babies in...

Just returned from Hungary and Balaton lake area. This is not season yet there, but that has also very good sides - there is no crowd and you are more or less alone in the area, and you can use privately the services of the hotel Mala Garden. Hotel and restaurant delivers the exclusivity and wellness, rooms are nice and...

This place is fantastic all year round. The view of the lake towards Tihany from your room, the swans in the small bay in front of the hotel, the relaxing little spa and the massage you can order, the great food — all this make you return to this place regularly.

we spent a long weekend by this gorgeous hotel in Siofok, right on the Balaton lake. Service is very professional, location is amazing and the rooms are really nice. The Spa is great, with sauna, pool, jacuzzi and professional thai massagers.

This time we stayed at the penthouse suit and wow, the view! Since it was an off season weekday we were lucky enough to be alone in the spa. It felt like we owned the place. Restaurant is still unmatched.

Great hotel right in front of Lake Balaton with a very nice small Spa. This hotel Spa opened in 2014 and unlike most Hungarian locations it keeps getting better instead of falling back like most others. The staff are excellent and extremely helpful and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. We have been to many Spa Hotels...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The design solutions of Siófok Mala Garden Wellness Hotel and Restaurant were inspired by the modern architecture of the island of Bali. Bali is found in the Indonesian Archipelago and is one of Indonesia’s more than thirty exotic regions. Bali is famous for its fine arts, among them dance, painting, sculpture, metal and leatherworks and its unique music as well. In the Indonesian Archipelago, Bali is one of the last refuges of Hinduism; hence its everyday life characterised by peace of mind, calm and balance. Respect for the ancestors and nature is a focal point of the philosophy of the island’s natives. This is exactly that particular atmosphere and feeling that guests of Mala Garden or those of the Hotel’s restaurant may experience at the shore of Lake Balaton. The hotel, the restaurant and the rooms too, may be viewed in our Gallery. When designing Mala Garden Hotel Siófok, the key objective was to recreate the Balinese harmony between nature and living space. Opening the huge folding glass walls of the lakeshore restaurant, the garden and the restaurant melt together, blurring the borderline between inside and outside… And the garden near the shore is an unmatched experience for adults and children alike. The artistic water surfaces, garden fountains, fish and aquatic plants of Mala Garden Hotel and Restaurant all remind the viewer of Bali. The harmonic interior is completed by Balinese sculptures, white pebbles, vases and other accessories. The creation of large spaces and the natural materials used add to a full experience of the positive energy the surroundings radiate. ... more   less
