Detailed Reviews
My boyfriend and I stayed here while he was visiting me. Csaba was super friendly, open and welcoming, and he was cool with everything. It's a simple hostel, what you see is what you get, but that's the charm of it. Keep it up!

Not only did I love Pecs but I loved this hostel...it's super cute, super clean and everyone is really friendly. Marian gave me loads of suggestions, food, places to visit etc and thanks to Jason for my washing. The hostel is really close to the Centre and 10 min walk from bus station. Spend at least 2 days here

From the outside, the hostel seems really crap. The walls seem to fall apart and the door is not that welcoming.
But once you push the door, you enter a colourful and welcoming place. The owners are a young couple, very helpful, friendly and concerned by their guests. Great atmosphere with a nice common place for the guests. People are happy to talk to each other.
Good computers with wifi available for the guests. The owners can change you some cash. You can pay in euros or Forint. They give you good advices on city.
The rooms are not very big, not very comfortable. Beds are not incredible. The hostel is not ideally situated, but still, if you're a backpacker or staying with friends and want to crash in a friendly atmosphere, I would recommend this hostel.

+1
Hostel has an attractive location – just between the old center of Pecs and Zsolnay cultural center. An old house is a real surprise from the inside – there is a big green garden, which is kind of luxury in Pecs. Rooms are nice, colorful painted and there is of course free internet… Owners (Hungary-Franch) are nice and very informative and good cooks – so do order a dinner to taste some local flavours.

Hello,
we (3 persons) spent just one night at the Ananas hostel, but we will totally come back. The 2 owners are totally nice and cook you some coffee if you look tired. Besides they give you good advices where to go during the day or the night to get food, hungarian wine or whatever you want.
The place is absolutely adorable - a small house, 5 mins walk to the city centre, where you feel like a shared flat! It´s a little chaotic but in a very charming way, so you feel very comfortable and welcome there. You have a living room, a kitchen which can always be used, the dorms and the garden, where you can enjoy sunshine in summer. And with 3000 HUF/10 EUR per night it´s really cheap!
I can warmly recommend it to travellers and visitors of Pécs. Have fun :)

We spent three nights in the Ananas hostel. We had a great time. The atmosphere is perfect for meeting new friends. The owners are really cool and personally involved. We had a great time. 10/10, would book again. There's one downside, and that's leaving the hostel

My boyfriend and me were travelling and decided to stay the weekend in Pécs, in the Ananas Hostel.
We arrived at 8 o'clock in the evening, the check in was fast and nice.
We booked online the private room, everything was just fine.
The showers and toilets are normal and clean, the music they played was just super cool!
I would recommend it to everyone for a nice weekend in Pécs, the walk to the central city was just about 7mins.

This hostel is only small but it made for a cosy little place. It's by no means flashy or fancy, however they have a nice garden area to sit and it made everything more sociable. It was easy to meet people and everyone was very friendly.
The only downside was that there didn't seem to be any lockers for storage or valuables and the bunk beds were very creaky as well. Otherwise a nice little spot to escape the hustle and bustle.

Hostel is a very short walk into the city, but on a quiet lane off a busy street so the location is great. The owners are very welcoming and relaxed, they are really good for local recommendations on what to do, where to eat and drink. Nice place to relax in a very relaxed city.

The owners of this hostel and their 100% erasmus staff are very nice and willing to help but they are starting their activity and clearly not professionnal, and the renovation of the hostel has to be finished.
Pecs is a small town but really worth the visit, especially for those who need to slow down an relax
