Above the restaurant where we have breakfast there are few rooms clean, nice with good bed etc. Even it was cold outside the room was hot and pleasant. Good WiFi very friendly staff (English speaking) nit far from central and main cultural attraction!

I have stayed here for two nights during a business visit. The place is very okay, the room had everything what I need expect a table where I can do some work. Otherwise the room was clean. The restaurant downstairs is very good with typical Hungarian food.

Well priced and clean rooms. Breakfast is adequate as well (no pastries). They cater for food preferences, for eg, no pork/beef.
Location is excellent - just a few mins walk to the cathedral/szecheyni ter.

We recently stayed at the Szinbad Panzio in our visit to Pecs. Upon arrival, we stopped our car in front of the hotel, & went in to inquire, but was promptly chased off by a grumpy restaurant staff.
The hotel room was very cramped. There was no space to walk, one had to crabwalk from one end of the room to another as the beds was very near the desk. The ' bedsheets' were too short for the mattresses, and the pillows were in fact cushions with no pillow cases on.
The next morning, to our horror, we found that the bread served was mouldy. Some unsuspecting guest at the nearby table had made a sandwich of the bread and was eating it. When the grumpy waiter was informed, he merely shrugged. The following day, the omelette with ham and the omelette with mushroom was served half cooked with bits of egg white still runny and transparent.
On the positive side, the reception staff was friendly and the accomodation reasonably priced. We felt attention needs to be paid to hygiene on the food and accomodation front.

We stayed one night with kids, got a room with 2 big beds, bathroom was clean and nice as well as the room, breakfast was also good with enough selection, kids loved it. Staff was very kind, my only problem was that it was too hot in the room during the night. Otherwise everything was good for a very affordable price.

Had a great one night stay here. English spoken by some of the staff and they helped me with my stumbling Hungarian (ok I can only say thank you). Superb upgrade for €8 to a two course dinner which was really nice. Good beer, friendly staff, clean large rooms. I'd stay again.

Hotel is near the center of town, free and secured parking, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a new and clean bathroom, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, free wifi. :) The objection is a small room.

My wife and I stayed two nights here and our overall impression was positive.
+ Location is good, 5-10 minutes walk to historic places
+ Staff are friendly and helpful
+ Free parking (on-street or closed parking lot)
+ Free wifi (we had strong signal, good speed, may vary with rooms)
+ Food was great (breakfast is nice, also half-board is a good value)
+ Double bed is really double, not just two singles pushed together.
+ Rooms have AC (did not need it though)
+ Everything really clean
o Flat screen tv (but do not expect many international channels)
o Room had refrigerator (but it is not a minibar)
o Bathtub not suitable for taking shower (no cabin, water splashes everywhere; shower folks avoid tub bathrooms)
- Room was sort of small (but still perfectly acceptable)
- Our room (just off the main staircase) was rather noisy. (Courtyard rooms are probably quieter.)
- No credit cards are accepted.
All in all, the accommodation was about average but the food and the staff were great. The rate was very affordable and competitive. I recommend this hotel, just be sure to ask for a quiet room and bring cash.

We've spent 4 nights in the Szinbad Panzio on the hottest days in the summer. The air conditioning was working perfectly. The rooms and the restaurant is average, there is some character especially the restaurant, rooms are looking modern, clean, with small problems. The hotel is some kind of maze. Our son loved it. We've been there with two other family and the rooms were located in totally different area of the hotel (what is funny because we made our bookings together). There is no lift which is no problem for the younger age but my father-in-law had some problem to climb every day to the namely second floor, but feels 5th. I wouldn't recommend it for older person, or ask for a room on the ground or first floor. The staff is fabulous, so helpful and nice.

Spent two nights here with spouse. Welcomed by Andrea who is friendly and a good resource for directions and information.

Given room 7. Clean bathroom and comfortable room. Overlooks the Barbican and on the front side. If you're sensitive to street noise, you may want a room in the back. We weren't bothered. No elevators here, FYI. Hair dryer and liquid soap in bathroom are only amenities.

Small private secured parking lot behind the hotel (you'll get a remote for the gate) or there' street parking available.

You can't beat this for location and price.
