Detailed Reviews
There is a lack of regular maintenance of the rooms. Maximum 3 star hotel. The wellness is small and poor. the size of the rooms is right. The bathroom should have a shower instead of a bathtub. The staff is nice, the location of the hotel is perfect.

**** star (?!) hotel with good location, nice staff, near to the old town, the wellness section is clean, but very basic. The restaurant is just atrociously bad. They have only one kind basic meal, (tomato soup, rise with chicken meat) no possibility to choose. Overpriced.

Located just up the hill from central Pécs, Hotel Millennium offers comfy accommodations with a reasonable breakfast, and a small recreation area including a pool and sauna… The view over the city is amazing…The staff are very attentive once you get to know them... I have stayed here three times and will stay here again…

We planned to go on March but due to unexpected reason we had to cancel and they were very flexible to move to another date. The hotel was clean and comfortable, they suggested to go to the roof with a glass of wine bc the panoramic was wonderful :) So they were very helpful however the receptionist was not familiar with the public transport possibilities. I really recommend this hotel to families as well.

This is a hotel that lacks service. We did not get our room at check-in due to lack of cleaning. We were then offered three other rooms, none of which were approved. The reception was not informed and we therefore had to take the lift up and down in the hope of finding a room. It is strange that the hotel is still on booking.com's list

We booked a room at this hotel after recommendations from friends and family. We were sorely dissapointed. We did not get the room we ordered, were not given money back when they gave us a standrad room even though we paid for their most exclusive panorama room, and experienced that the manager of the hotel was extremely rude and unwelcomming. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone else.
Here is a more detailed account: We wanted a great holiday and booked the Panorama room. Upon arrival we paid for the room and were then shown to our room, which was a simple double room. When I asked if this was the Panorama room they said no, that that room had by mistake been given to someone else the day before. We were told that seeing as we paid for the room upon arrival to the hotel they would not give us the money back. After a lot of discussing we were promised that we would get two interconnecting double rooms the next day. Next morning we were told that the manager of the hotel would not give us anything other than a simple double room, even though we had paid for the Panorama room and got a confirmation that this room was ours. We asked to speak to the manager who came up and was extremely rude. When we said we had been promised to get two rooms he told the receptionist that this would be more expensive than the amount we had paid and that she would have to pay it out of her salary. He walked away in the middle of the conversation and said he did not want to deal with us. He said his employers made a mistake but that this was not his fault. In the end we decided to check out and asked for our money back, which they refused to give us. They have not replied to our email since we left the hotel.

We chose this hotel because of what they show on internet and because it was a 4 stars hotel, we chose the “smart deal” option, without knowing that the room (especially the bathroom), was going to be deficient as one section of the hotel is renovated and they put us in the old one. The bathroom had a very slippery and very (very!) dangerous tub and also the maintenance of the toilet is questionable, this bathroom did not have even the basic things (hairdryer, soap in the sink) that a 3 star hotel should offer, the extra bed they provided was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was highly unsatisfactory (not even a 3 stars hotel breakfast). We did not go inside the wellness because we had to pay extra to get in (again, something that a 4 start hotel should not do- charge to use facilities like a pool). In summary, a hotel cannot partly be 4 stars- partly (2-3), and this is the case of Hotel Millenium in Pecs, although the staff was helpful it did not compensate for the overall the bad experience. The location is good.

This is a recently expanded and renovated nice hotel with modern comfortable rooms overlooking the city (upper floor front rooms). The hotel is approx. a five minute walk from the Cathedral and a ten minute from the city center (Szechenyi square). Bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was also modern, good sized and clean.
However this is not a wellness hotel still they have a nice pool with Jacuzzi, and saunas. It was great to spend some time here after a long „walking day” we spent in the city. They also have a small sun-terrace in case you do not want to move out. There are enough parking places and it is included in your room rate.
Service is good; staff is very friendly and helpful. They were willing to help in any issues. I had special request to surprise my wife and they made an excellent job.
The restaurant (we had breakfast only) was just OK. I think there is some improvement opportunity here.
This is a hotel with very good value for your money. I can recommend this hotel to everybody and I will stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights. The hotel is sited outside the city centre. It's about a 10 min stroll all down a relatively steep hill meaning a 10 minute walk uphill. Not suitable for people with disabilities.
The hill on which the hotel sits has views over Pecs and is a vantage points for photographers (and there were many) taking pictures of the Pecs cathedral and city, particularly at night.
There is ample car parking much of which is undercover.
I had a double room which was spacious, clean and very quiet. It had a fridge and plenty of wardrobe space. However, there was no safe or kettle or toiletries except for the basics. My room was on the third level where the rooms have access to an outdoor area with views over the city. A real bonus.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food including scrambled eggs, etc. There was outdoor seating so you could eat your breakfast, have a drink, etc outside. The hotel had a restaurant but we chose to walk into the city centre for dinner.
The hotel had an indoor (small) pool but no gym
Staff on check in and throughout my stay were all very helpful and courteous. In fact they were excellent.
Room tip - ask for room on level 3. It may be a little more expensive but is worth it.
This hotel surprised on the upside. It is very close to being a hidden gem. Would I stay here again - definitely. Highly recommended.

Booked 2 rooms one day before arriving with no issues. no space in Pecs , according to booking.com website. Turned out that there was hardly anyone in hotel or in town.
Small room adequately furnished, stunk of cigarette smoke, bin full of papers, broken velux raam curtain, no hairdryer, Nice led TV with plenty of packet loss on half of The Channels. Bed so close to slanted roof with velux Window that my wife banged her Head nearly everytime she for out of bed, which was hard and strangely shaped, felt like it dipped in the middle on my side while my wife's side was more, a small mound.
Magnificent view of City though.
Second room on rear of hotel much more spacious with no faults as far as other couple informed us.
Tried the resteraunt for dinner, utter garbage, in fact we suspect that the salad had been recycled from it, gypsy steak translated to fat and gristle with extra added salt, with extra salty bacon on top.The packet soup starters were the tastiest thing.
Breakfast was ok, if not a little limited but, fresh scrambled eggs were made on request as buffet bain marie was empty by 9am.
Hotel staff got very upset when we requested a spare key, complaining we were not allowed to remove the key from the hotel and take it with us, although there is no notice at reception or any literature in the room informing you of this rule.
When the Key was returned nothing more was said.
