Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special about it either. Went there with a friend and asked for and got a twin room, which was fine: clean, comfortable, a good shower and conveniences. The hotel is downtown, a short walk from the old town's sights, and en route there from the train station, so it's definitely conveniently located. The staff was friendly and brisk.

The whole place was a bit soulless though. There's a mall right behind, the buildings around are nothing special, and the hotel is above one of those fairly ubiquitous casino / slot machines types of businesses, with a somewhat dreary terrace out front. The entrance is up a sidedoor and tiled stairways, past a no-frills reception. It's not, say, a place to impress if you'd be going on a romantic trip, and you won't feel like you're spoiling yourself particularly if you're staying here.

As the name says, hotel is located in the city centre. Right next to it is shopping centre and pedestrian zone of the city centre is just across the street. It is a bit away from the crowd in the street which is good. If you come by car, there is a parking just next to the hotel.
This is actually a very small hotel but rooms are very nice. Furniture is good, and the bathroom is excellent.
The only downside is the dining area which is very small, so if the hotel has more guests you might have to wait for the place. Breakfast is ok, but again, since everything is small, they might run out of something while you are there. This is the only reason why I will give it 4* and not 5.

Simple decor, but fresh and clean at a very fair price. Perfect place to rest after a day of sightseeing on foot. The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful and also speak English. Serves a large, quality breakfast of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, cereals, fruits, vegetables, juices, yogurts and coffees. Very centrally located--2 blks. from St. Stephen Square, churches and museums. Shopping mall located 1/2 blk away. Darling town. Don't miss Sts. Peter and Paul Basilica, Csontvary Art Exhibition, and the exquisite ceramics collection at the tile factory. Many great places to eat on and near St. Stephen's Square. 20 minute walk to train station, but taxis are reasonable.

Went to Pecs for a course at University of Pecs. I stay at the hotel for 7 nights. I have a very good experience staying at this hotel. The room is exclusively furnished, eventhough the price is cheap (50 Euro per night). The facilities offered by this hotel are excellent. Inside the room you are provided with mini-bar (but you have to pay for the drinks and nibbles, but don't worry, it is not expensive), security box, hot shower, air-conditioner, satellite TV, and last but not least free Internet. When you stay at this hotel, breakfast are included. There is a breakfast room where they will serve breakfast meals such as cereals, yoghurt, juice, coffee and tea, bread, spreads and cheese. The staffs are also friendly and able to assist you during your stay.

The location of Hotel Central is very strategic and conducive. The hotel is located just behind a major shopping mall (I forgot the name) and just 5 minutes walk to Szchenyi Square (city centre).

I will suggest to anyone who is going to Pecs to consider your stay at Hotel Central.

The room was spacious with a small kitchenette and a large bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the a/c quiet and efficient. The breakfast selection was quite extensive. The hotel is located about a five-minute walk from the central city square. Very good value for money.

The hotel has a very good location, just 3minutes walk from the city center and next to a shopping Mall and taxi parking. The rooms are nice and clean, however the rooms were not cleaned every day. The breakfast was good for a 3* hotel. It's a good value for the price.

To sum it up - small cheap hotel near center of Pecs.
Room was really nice and bathroom is quite big, clean and modern. Rooms have AC which is big plus. Entrance to hotel is quite hidden/wierd so dont be scared.
Negative side are breakfasts as there is one small room dedicated to that purpose and I never before experience that I had to queue up for breakfast in hotel.
In general great value for price.

As the name says, the hotel is located in the city centre. Major sights are within walking distance and you can find some very good restaurants nearby. The setup of the hotel is a bit strange, but the reception staff is helpful and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is reasonably good. The only downside are the very flat pillows. WiFi is free and working good in all areas.

Huge room with big windows you can open a small amount, or all the way. Small kitchen in the room with pots, pans, cutlery, electric cook top, microwave, sink, fridge. Dining table. Air-conditioning in some rooms, not ours, but the pedestal fan in the room was more than enough to to keep cool.

Breakfast was outstanding. Probably the best out of the 6 or 7 places we have stayed all over Hungary in a similar price range :)

Staff were professional, friendly and spoke great English. Thanks!

At Central you can get nice apartments for a reasonable price and good breakfast also. My stay was tree days long and u had a huge comfortable bed, fast wifi and a TV with around 80 international channels. The room was huge, with tables for dining and working. It had a little kitchen too. The bathroom was clean, only shower. The Breakfast included fruits, vegs, different meats, cheeses, breads. If you like to have scrumbled eggs, ham&eggs or sausages you just have to ask and they prepare it for you.
All in all five stars for this price, i'll visit it again.
