Great location in heart of Budapest. We spent here three nights of our honeymoon. When we came I immediately fell in love with the old house with courtyard, I felt there like at home - in Prague :) Our blue double room with tiny bathroom were simple and clean. The staff was very friendly and nice.

Evrything thats worth it about this place is the location. There is a super market almost next to it. You go a bit further up and on the left and you will find the parliament and a metro stop. Its clean and simple. BUT we had many complains. Because we would be there at 11:30 at night we were afraid...

Great location next to the metro station, shops and fasfoods in the central Budapest. Nice, modern, spacious and clean room with bathroom. Nice stuff. Even if it was in rush main street, we didn't hear the noise from the street. We were in room for 4. The room was oposite of the reception so we've heard everyone comming.

It is extremely well placed to be exceptionally handy for central Budapest. There's a metro station just outside and to the right which will take you to most places in the city. An excellent Yugoslavian restaurant to the left and if you don't mind rude and grumpy staff a supermarket between the accommodation and the metro. The rooms are clean...

Let's start off by saying, there is no sign. There is a doorway after a supermarket and ice cream booth that you need to look for the small name over the buzzer. Also do not judge this place on the entrance or stairwell. We stayed in one of the new apartments, which was a total delight. Clean, smart and comfortable,...

Origo is a basic accommodation for the budget-conscious traveler. The owner is friendly and makes a genuine effort to make guests feel welcome. Location is very central, within a few minutes' walk of a Metro station linking you directly to Keleti, major sights, Parliament and at least three tasty budget eateries (2 traditional, 1 hummus bar). Some pet peeves: -...

This was our favourite accommodation after travelling through 8 countries interailing! Although a sign outside the building would have been helpful a local man pointed us in the right direction ad everything was easy and enjoyable from then on. Hostel less than 5 mins walk to beautiful parliament building & metro. Around 30 mins enjoyable walk to castle hill. Highly...

Firstly it is very difficult to find with virtually no sign. After that the staff were originally happy and then just seem to leave and your on your own. I stayed in the red room and there were so many problems. Firstly the radiators didn't work so it was freezing. The shower was cold due to no hot water and...

Very cozy. Soporific. I felt at home here. Great for couples. The parliament building is right down the street with fantastic views of Buda hill from the square. There is a good cafe next door and a good restaurant towards the parliament.

We stayed 4 nights in Origo Hostel Budapest in March 2015. We were very happy to choose this hostel for several reasons : - excellent location : less than 100 meters from the Parliament square, and 5 minutes from Pest center and Andrassy Utca. The street was also very calm - excellent facilities : the room was nice, clean and...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
