I recently had reason to stay at the regency suites hotel in budapest for business, and I was amazed at the great skills of both Anita and Tibor in reception. Nothing was too much or a problem for them as they pointed me in the correct direction for all my meetings within the capital . Not having been to the... More

The hotel is in the center of Pest. It is 2 rooms, one bedroom, one livingroom, mini-kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub. Its a very clean hotell with all neccessery things in the room (like tea-boiler, tea, coffee, towels, shampoo, hairdryer,tv, free wifi). The staff was really nice and helpful, giving good advice. Good location a few hundred meters from Deak Ferenc ter, which is the largest trafic hub for local transportation in Budapest. All Metro lines stop at this hub and also a large number of trams and buses are passing Deak Ferenc. The hotel promote all rooms are suites, which is correct. Very large rooms, I guess our room was about... More

The Regency suites hotel is perfect starting point for exploring Budapest's cultural heritage and history. It is located in central Pest, near most of cultural monuments. The old town Buda is also easy to get by subway. Station on Deak Ter is only 200 m away from hotel. We arrived by car and we had problem to park it until... More

10.25.2012 It was a good hotel, in NL it would probably have 3 stars. It was all a bit dusty on the stairs and a bit old-fashioned. Great advantages for us: large room, good free wifi, quiet surroundings. The breakfast was fine, nothing special. At 8.30 pm it was still quiet but the crowds began at 9:00 and larger groups... We stayed here in October 2012, the suites are wonderful with great sized rooms, with a seating area as well as bedroom, microwave, fridge and hairdrier. The suites offer an extensive breakfast buffet. The staff are helpful and very friendly, as are all the Hungarian people. The best aspect of these suites has to be it's wonderful central locaion. Hotel was good. Shuttle more expensive than airport service. Skybar wasn't open even tho weather was good which was disappointing. Good rooms and great location The breakfast was good and top up often so when we would get there by the end there was always still plenty left. Receptionist gave good info about things to do e.g river cruisers and... More

The hotel is located essentially in the heart of Budapest. The Deak square, Vaci street, and the Danube is just at a few minutes walking distance. Thus, the hotel is very conveniently located if you want to have a walk in downtown but is also great if you want to travel somewhere else, since the Deak square is a big... More

This place is wonderful. The location is very central and cannot be beat--literally walking distace to everything. The price is very reasonable and the rooms are large and comfortable. Also a wonderful breakfast.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
