My partner and I arrive shattered on the 6/08/16. Trekked a half hour from the station to the hostel and arrived in basically what I can only describe as a hell hole. The pictures I have seen are in no way near accurate to what I witnessed. There is unfinished construction everywhere and walking up the stairs felt unsafe in... More

I will admit to the hostel being rather tricky to find but once we had arrived Peter was waiting for us and showed us where everything was as well as telling us who else was staying there. He also gave us some great, almost fatherly, advice such as drink at least 2l water per day, wear sun cream, don't pay... More

Advantages first: - cheap! - couldn't be located better! (9th district - Ferencvaros; 5 mins to the National Museum, 5 mins to the Great Market Hall, 5 mins to Szabadsag hid, 10 mins to Gellert Hegy...; we walked mostly on feet, however, if you prefer public transport, nearest metro & bus station is just 3 mins away; Raday utca is... Hostel is in a decent location. When I arrived I spent half an hour trying to get in because no one was there. I finally found someone to call the hostel and the owner showed up fifteen minutes later. After giving me keys and collecting the money he left. His only instructions were put the keys through the mail slot... More

If you are looking for somewhere cheap in Budapest and are not fussed about cleanliness this is the place for you! We got in a taxi from the train station and it took us to the end of the hostel's street. We walked up and down this street 4 times and could not find the number of the place, expecting... More

Good things: cheap, fairly close to town and metro, felt homely, Peter was very offering with advice and making sure you were ok, good fast wifi. Not good things: it was really hard to find. Finding it from the street was no problem, but then it was just lucky someone else walked in to the building and I just followed.... More

Great location, great price! In the quiet street with so many good restaurants and shops of all kind. You need to set up a time of check-in with owner (they dont have 24/7 reception, in fact they doesnt have any reception :) ) but it wasnt a problem, he was very cooperative.

Peter, the owner was a brilliant, friendly, helpful and accommodating host from the very start. The location of the apartment is great. Very near Danube, Central Market, public transport and Jewish Quarter. There is a money changer on the street with a very good rate. We had the budget double room which was very basic but comfortable. A double bunk... More

We had a small room in a shared appartment. For the price (80€ for 4 nights, 2 people) I consider it to be a good deal. But it could be improved. What we liked: - Located downtown, a very short walk from the subway - Kitchen available - Wifi very good - Quiet - Cheap What we didn't like: -... More

We stayed at this hostel for 2 nights and had a really good experience. The owner is really quirky, relaxed and nice, and also very helpful. However, we booked a Queensize Bed and got two bunkbeds the first night - but the second night we got the Queensize Bed - which wasn't a queensize bed at all; it was rather... More
