Our group was booked into this hotel which would normally be above our price point. Our travel agent got us a great rate, below $250/night. The spacious room had a huge tub/shower, with separate WC/bidet area, and sink. The shower was overhead and immobile, a bit awkward for shorter people, and a tub mat would have made it safer. A...

Wow! This place is simply stunning. Such a beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. We stayed 3 nights and only wished it could have been more. The hotel is ideally situated being close to all the main transport systems, but also within easy walking distance of the main attractions. The Danube is only 15-20 minutes walk. Plenty of bars, restaurants and...

From the moment we arrived this hotel and it's staff made us feel extra special. The building's architecture is breathtaking. Our room was fantastic, even more so as we were given an upgrade. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even giving their advice on the best attractions to visit etc. The food was excellent. Breakfast left you wanting for...

Stunningly beautiful hotel. The interior is amazing with marble and ornate frescos. The ceilings and walls are covered in mouldings that are painted in gold. Staff were all exceptionally helpful, friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was incredible with a huge selection of food in offer. Location was great with easy access to buses trams and metro. A 30 min...

I spent three nights here. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The building itself is stunning. The grand lobby is both impressive and a cool place to hang out, with lots of comfortable seating. Check-in experience set the tone for a great stay. I was warmly welcomed, and the GM even came over to introduce himself. Service was...

The reception staff has been extremely helpful - gave us a map, made recommendations to us. Ordered room service. Timely and delicious. Recommend if you're wanting to go to the spa that you reserve early. They're very popular and book up fast. If you plan to go to the New York Cafe (very famous, very beautiful, amazing menu) bring something...

Took my wife and son on a weekend break. I was impressed by the hotels appearance but left disappointed by the service. I had heard a lot about cafe New York which was the biggest disappointment. The facilities at the hotel were nothing special but I would stay again as it was acceptable for a 4star plus.

Great hotel, atmosphere is wonderful, great service in the Hotel. Have no complaints with the hotel itself and were very well taken care of there. New York Cafe food was great, service does need some help though as we felt that they were quite unfriendly with us and had little interest in serving us compared to the other restaurants we...

Lovely hotel, looks magnificent from the outside, atrium is pactacular, and the New York Cafe where we had breakfast makes you feel amazing. Room was good, comfortabale and not small. Ideally placed to access all of the tourist sites on foot, but also on several of the main tram lines.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
