Hotel Parlament is an all round excellent choice. Easily reachable from the airport by public transport, centrally located and within walking distance to most points of interest. All the staff are highly professional, friendly and deliver first class service at all times. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean and maintained. The breakfast buffet offers great variety of hot...

The staff here are fantastic, excellent English and all incredibly friendly. We had a lovely weekend in Budapest. The hotel is well situated and was excellent value. The city can be easily explored on foot from the hotel. Out of season the streets around the hotel can be a bit quiet, but this is not to say we did not...

From the ladies who cleaned the room, to the waiters and waitresses at breakfast and the front office staff, everybody was really polite, professional and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was brilliant. Good quality, varied and plentiful. Location was excellent, just a few minutes work from the Hungarian Parliament building (worth a look). I'd have no...

We flew from Malaga to Budapest which was a 3.5 hour flight arriving at 17:30 it was just getting dark. A half hour cab journey took us into...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
