We stayed at the Agape Aparthotel for three nights in February, in a double bed studio apartment. The booking was incredibly cheap and great value. We had a large bedroom/living room area, kitchen and bathroom. The location seemed pretty good too, with the underground just round the corner. Before going I was a bit worried after reading some negative reviews...

A central position for the night life, great neighborhood! Unfortunately the bed is a bed/couch and the blanket to cover the "mattress " are really small, it wasn't hygienic at all, bring them from home!

Stayed here for 3 nights and was very pleasantly surprised! Large apartment separate kitchen/dining areas, full length windows and comfy bed. Good location, 15 mins stroll from the Danube. Ideal for those on stag/hen parties are very close to bars and clubs but equally as good for couples who want to be in the midst of everything. Felt very safe...

Nice location. Beside a lot of good pubs and restaurants and very centra. Apartments are big if a little dated but loads of room. Staff are very friendly at the reception and very good value for money.

We stayed here several years ago, and was not sold. But, since the reviews was good, we tried it again for a weekend in October. My husband also stayed here for 2 nights the week before. First, this is a great location, easy to access metro, bus and tram. And if you want to, in walking distance (1-2 km )...

We spent 3 nights at the Agape and were very pleased with our room. Very comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen with large refrigerator, large balcony with table and chairs. The area looks a little seedy but we found it perfectly safe. Great location to walk to many of Budapest's incredible sites. Would stay here again most definitely.

Overall we thought that we got good value for our money. We liked the location, and the fact that our suite had a kitchen. Unfortunately, it is a basic hotel with few amenities. The television was antiquated with only three stations - all were in Hungarian and the reception was poor. We did have an issue with puddles of water...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
