I arrived very early and the hotel had my room ready and also allowed me to help myself to some breakfast which was great. The rooms are old but OK, however there was no AC in my room which was very hot in July. It is an older hotel and the location is not ideal being some short distance from...

So the positives are: It's location, great location close to everything, including trams and busses, although i gather that pretty much every hotel is in a convenient location in Budapest. It's very cheap maybe the cheapest when booking through a discount hotel website/ app. Negatives: There was a hole in the wall in our room which looked like someone had...

Kind staff at the reception! some mistakes the booking page made were quickly solved. It's the most friendly hotel we have ever been to! The rooms are also nice and comfortable. Besides, the situation is perfect for everyone who wants to be in the most lively places of the city quickly.

22 boys between age 23 and 32 stayed here for 3 nights for a stag trip. A dated building but everything we needed was available. Towels, shower, air conditioning etc. Good value for money. The staff were helpful and understanding. The location was also good. We accessed most places by foot although the tram and metro is a short walk...

The hotel is in a good location, very central which made walking around budapest very accessable. We had a four person room which consisted of 2 single and 1 double bed. The room was very spacious, so comfortable for 4 of us to stay in. The rooms are decorated very old fashioned, so dont expect modern kitted rooms. There is...

This hotel was very inexpensive and definitely worth the price, but the air conditioning is basically non-existent. Luckily we weren't in the room much, but it was very uncomfortable for the hours we were there. Don't book a room here if the weather is going to be hot.

I stayed in this hotel for a conference. It was great except air-conditioning. Location was nice, breakfast was fine. Helpful staff. I might choose this hotel in the future and I recommend it. It is a good value for your money.

City Hotel Unio is small hotel but very nice and cosy. We stayed there for two nights. It was december, and the room was very well heated, which was not the case on other hotel that we stayed. So it was very nice suprise. Bethroom was specious. Food was ok. Hotel is old, it needs to be reffurbished. But overall...

This hotel was perfect for what we needed, somewhere clean, comfortable and safe to stay in at the end of a long day exploring a beautiful city. The rooms were basic but, at the price we paid, we weren't expecting anything fancy. The only complaint we had was the temperature in the room, it was very warm and the air...

My husband and I traveling Eastern Europe for the first time with group of friends stayed here. Great location as everything was within walking distance. Our room was on top floor and serviceable, very hot and no a/c and the bathroom was bare bones basic. If your on a budget and looking for a no frills, basic accommodation this hotel...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
