Excellent hotel, fantastic food and helpful staff. Went with a group of adults and very good. Central hotel near train stations and city centre. Breakfast in morning was buffet style and plenty of it. Bar slightly pricey.

Standard rooms are just enough to have a good night sleep. What else can you do in a hotel room in Budapest?? If you go for the "bridge breakfast" you'll won't be disappointed with the service and good coffee. Potato pancakes with sour cream are a must! With standard breakfast during tourist season you risk a cue to the hungarian...

Fairly good business hotel, but guest rooms are a bit too small . Breakfast was good, but not so rich as it used to be a few years ago. All in all my stay at the Mercure Korona was not bad. The hotel can be suggested as good solution for business travellers.

I was there in January 2014 for a private visit and everything was absolutely perfect. The receptionists were friendly and highly professional, the room was clean and had a wonderful bed, the TV was set up correctly, the breakfast was fine, the price sensible. A tremendous asset was being right in the center of Pest and the subway was only...

We chose Mercure Korona for our short winter break in Budapest mainly because of its location and some other useful points, namely, its own garage and a pool. In all this we were not disappointed: the location of the hotel is perfect. You can easily walk to the streets Vaci or Rakoczi with numerous shops or Raday with its great...

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
