My wife and I stayed at the Intercontinental in early October. We used it as an extension of our Viking cruise on the Danube. Our travel agent discovered it for us. We were certainly not disappointed. Our room over looked the Danube and Castle Hill. The hotel is centrally located for all of the tourist locations in Budapest. The restaurant...

This hotel was wonderful! My family and I stayed here for four nights. It was four adults in one room. The hotel went above and beyond by having the couch prepared as a bed. We thought we were only getting two double beds. The room was also adequately stocked with towels and toiletries for all of us. The room was...

Very good hotel for business. Facilities are a bit old fashioned and worn out here and there but overall impression is good. Quality of sleep is one of the best features at IC brands as beds , matresses and pillows are outstanding quality. Location very convenient.

Classical hotel with truly decent service. Not fancy but representing a very good value. The view of the Danube is truly unbeatable. Both day and night. And it is truly worth the price. Besides the charming Danube promenade at your feet, the proximity to Vörösmarty Square and Váci utca makes it a perfect location for city lovers and shopping goers....

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
