The conference room was great, everything did as we talked before. Our workshop were a bit complicated as a normal one, but they solved everyting. We were...

When I am in Budapest, Hungary on business, I always stay at this hotel, the Mercure-Buda. It is on the garden side of the city known as Buda. The hotel is in a very good location next to the Southern Train Station where traffic is much lower then on the other side of the river Danube called the Pest side....

My wife and I travelled to Budapest on a joint personal / business trip and stayed at the Mercure. It was our third wedding anniversary ansd we were presented with a bottle of sparkling wine in our room as a gift from the hotel, they also gave us a room with a view of the castle. The hotel was well...

We had the privilege room for free, which was a very good surprise! Our room was big and comfortable. A little noisy (every time a tramway passed by, I had the impression that a plane was about to land in the room) :) but it was overal a very good stay! The hotel is situated 4 stations from the center...

Positive for that hotel is close location in walking distance to the metro and railway stations and it's not expensive. Anyway, I'm not sure it's a good value for money, maybe only for transit travellers who need only bed. The standard room that we've ordered by internet was looking like not facelifted since the communist era. It was an option...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for choosing Mercure Budapest Buda for your stay and your balanced lines left on TripAdvisor. In my opinion we are a reasonably priced hotel offering good value and service in the heart of Budapest, this is the major reason why most travellers put their votes to us. Easy to find, great location, right near the tram line, which runs straight to Rudas baths and so close to the metro too, it also has a supermarket right next to it and another just behind, very handy for those little things you may have forgotten. You can also walk up to the castle in about 10mins up some steps...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
