We loved our stay at art'otel budapest. Our room was clean, modern, and quirky. We loved the firm bed (which is a rarity in most European hotels). The location can't be beat and the price was right. Make sure to ask for a room with a parliament view!!!! The breakfast buffet is huge and well worth it!

Nice hotel positioned directly in front of the parliament building on the Danube. Our room was super big and comfortable. Upgraded to a suite and totally worth it. Walking distance to almost everything. Great service.

The hotel is in a lovely location on the Buda side of Budapest along the river. Clean and modern, the hotel was very friendly. Views were beautiful and access to all areas was easy. Room was clean, walls were not paper thin and general bathroom area was clean with good toiletries. The only comment is that the minibar is extremely...

Lovely hotel on the Danube (Buda side) - great staff, lovely room, fantastic breakfast included in the tariff. Staff were incredibly helpful in finding really good restaurants (not on any tourist listing) - helping in every way; central location - good for the "castle", "chain bridge", Metro station - two minutes walk away My second visit to the city and...

I stayed at the hotel for work. The room was terrific value. The hotel was in a fantastic location even though I did not have a view overlooking the river the view of the church at the back was still stunning. The staff were all very helpful.

Stayed here with friends for 3 days. Its a nice hotel on Buda side in front of the beautiful Parlament building. (If your room faces the river side you will see it from your window. But rooms that face the inner yard are more quiet). Rooms are comfortable and bright. WiFi is not brilliant but quite good.

located at the bank of the river, however not all rooms get the view. inside it looks like an old, communist-era building refurbished in the 90ties. it is decent, well-located, with capable staff, free wi-fi and decent breakfast.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences regarding art'otel budapest on Tripadvisor. As you correctly pointed out not all of our rooms are facing the river, however the rooms on the other side of the building have also a great view of the wold heritage site of the Castle district. I was very pleased to...

If you want a clean room with a very comfortable bed and a great location, this is the place. You don't have to break the bank either. We had a river-side room with a balcony...great view particularly after dark. Walking access to the metro, tram and bus which was important for us. You can also easily go to the airport...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
