This was a great hotel which made our holiday that bit better. Comfy, cosy modern rooms which were spotlessly cleaned and – following the advice of the trip advisor community, we booked a river view hotel and had a spectacular view of the parliament building and chain bridge at night. So romantic! My only complaint about this hotel was breakfast...

We arrive at this hotel, due to the fact that the hotel that we had booked initially, was overbooked and we were treated contemptuous at the reception because "we came from the streeet".However when I said that I will write down this on trip adviser the behavior was changed. ( As "a kind of compensation" they offered us free parking)...

great hotel with fabulous views (if you choose a Danube view room!). Bedrooms really spacious, comfortable and clean, and very warm! Loved the fact there was a kettle in the room. Breakfast was well organised, hot and cold buffet style, with a constant supply of fresh food added to the buffet by friendly staff. The location is good, especially for...

Nice family friendly hotel, near to major attractions, beautiful view of Parliament and Danube. Rooms are large with nice beds. Creative art work across hotel and in the room. Overall good place for holiday and leisure stay.

I stayed there with family for 3 nights. It's a place that needs work. Old rooms, one elevator (out of two) wasn't working, average breakfast, I wouldn't go back there. Service wasn't a highlight either. Location is good, with some more work it has potential to become a good option.

We chose this because it is modern and clean and fresh. The staff were polite and helpful in booking taxis etc. The bar staff were absolutely lovely. The room was clean and really spacious and the breakfast buffet was nice. However when we booked it said that all guests are promised a view of either the castle or the river....

Dear Christina, Thank you very much for your review on our facilities and services. This is a great feedback that you liked our rooms, breakfast and staff attitude. On the other hand I was really sorry to learn that due to a fully booked house we were unable to assign for you a room overlooking the Buda castle. Please accept...

Ok... not the "ultima moda" furniture, TV was in some kind of maintenance, no coffe-tea making possibility... but: rooms were spacious, bed very comfortable, silent silent silent :-) and the overall feeling was good. Of course the scenery is more beautiful if you overlook the river, but even other side was quite ok. There are smokers rooms as well. If...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
