If we visit a city for the first time, we always prefer to stay at a hotel which reflects the spirit of the city. This time again, we made a thorough research and chose Art Otel Danube. Its perfect location in Buda side near Danube ensures fantastic views of House of Parliament , Chain and Elizabeth Bridges and all Peste...

Great location walking distance from Buddha castle, the hotel is nice and clean. We had a Danube view room which had magnificent view over the chain bridge and the Parliament bldg. Hotel staff are nice and friendly, they even checked us in at 11AM! Highly recommended for your stay in Budapest!

I booked a British Airways holiday recently and decided to stay at the art'otel in Budapest for three nights. A short break before Christmas in such a beautiful hotel did not disappoint. I upgraded for a very reasonable price to the Danube river facing room and it was worth every single penny. The views from my bedroom were absolutely amazing...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
