We chose this because it is modern and clean and fresh. The staff were polite and helpful in booking taxis etc. The bar staff were absolutely lovely. The room was clean and really spacious and the breakfast buffet was nice. However when we booked it said that all guests are promised a view of either the castle or the river....

Dear Christina, Thank you very much for your review on our facilities and services. This is a great feedback that you liked our rooms, breakfast and staff attitude. On the other hand I was really sorry to learn that due to a fully booked house we were unable to assign for you a room overlooking the Buda castle. Please accept...

Ok... not the "ultima moda" furniture, TV was in some kind of maintenance, no coffe-tea making possibility... but: rooms were spacious, bed very comfortable, silent silent silent :-) and the overall feeling was good. Of course the scenery is more beautiful if you overlook the river, but even other side was quite ok. There are smokers rooms as well. If...

Stayed in a top floor river view room for 4 nights in Nov 2014. Excellent location, convenient transport links and most major sights within walking distance. The hotel made for an excellent base while exploring Budapest. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, promptly responding to our every request. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds and relaxing space. Breakfast was excellent...

Perfect hotel, with perfect location, close to major sightseeings, public transportation just around the corner, and THE BIGGEST room I've ever stayed in. Very good breakfast with lots of options at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel was situated right next to the Danube opposite the Parliament buildings. It is a five minute walk to the Chain Bridge which takes you to the Pest side of the city. I recommend a trip on the river to Margit Island for a picnic on a sunny day.

This is an excellent hotel. The reception area is large and the organisation of check in was efficient. This was important for us as part of an escorted tour, arriving at the same time as another group. There is a comfortable bar area next to reception and the drink prices are reasonable for a hotel. All of the staff were...

Excellent hotel on the banks of the Danube. Although we did not use all the hotel amenities, we really enjoyed our stay here. Nice size room, tea/coffee making facilities, good sized bathroom with bath/shower.The views from our room were fantastic, with parliament across the river and the fisherman's bastion directly behind the hotel. A few nice restaurants close to hotel,...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
