The hotel was well situated, approx 2km from Keleti Station (we walked and took us bout half an hour). It was close to the main street in Pest (Andrassi), and only a 10 / 15 minute walk to Buda where the majority of the tourist attractions are based. The hotel was nice and clean, service of staff was good, room...

I was travelling with 2 English speaking friends 60+ and we stayed at Kings for 3 nights. Having read some of the reviews on this sight we were a bit dubious. However, the minute we walked in the door we were given a wonderful welcome and the friendliness and helpfulness continued throughout our stay. We were assisted in maximising our...

The hotel is very centrally located on one of the many back streets of Budapest. The hotel was very clean, and the maids were in to make the beds, and change towels everyday. The staff were all very friendly and helpfull, and ordered taxis for us with no problems. There is a bar next to the hotel which is great...

I think people are being a bit hard on this place, for the money it is well worth it. I think that the price really needs to be taken into consideration here when writing a review. We booked through Orbitz and it ended up being less than 100 USD a night. For that price I think it is worth it....

Read some really bad reviews of this hotel so was quite nervous. On arrival we were well received and shown to a beautiful room. The window was amazing and there was plenty of room for 4 of us to meet and lounge there. The linen, bathroom etc were spotless and remained so for the 5 nights we were there. The...

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was clean & modern. The room was spacious. Breakfast was good & plentiful. Staff were very pleasant. A bit of a walk to the main shopping/tourist areas but not too bad. My one complaint would be that even though the hotel is in a side street that street can be very noisy...

King's Hotel - A Good Place to Stop!! Lets start by saying, after reading the reviews during March and April it is easy to think this hotel is rubbish, that the location, food, staff and rooms are poor, However like with everything seeing is believing, on arrival the staff were very friendly, with a good level of English, The rooms...

"i think you might be giving the hotel in injustice" was my comment to a fellow traveller who has experienced the breakfast on the previous morning. Oh how wrong i was.... Take the all the guests from a 100+ room hotel, put them in an oversized sauna where the temperature is 2 degrees above the human threshold for heat tolerance,...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
