If this was in London or Paris you could realistically expect a £500 a night price tag. In Budapest you get all this for a £110 price tag. The room feels luxurious when you get in to it and the porter drops your bags, luxurious bathroomwith seperate toilet, shower and bath, complementary robes and bed turn down service. I say...

A lovely hotel which provided all that one looks for when in Budapest. Close enough to various attractions and plenty to do with in the hotel. Great team that takes pride in looking after the guests . Over all a great place to stay when in Budapest. Was able to visit most places by foot with the weather being so...

Could not check in for half an hour - there was no electricity. In the room could not get access to wi-fi. Called 6 times to guest service - only replies in automatic style. Got a visit only 35 minutes later. Disaster - it is not Kempinski. Next time will go to Mariott.

Dear valued Guest, Thank you very much for choosing Kempinski Hotel Corvinus for your Budapest stay. We apologize for the electricity shortage on 21 December. Our regional supplier had serious trouble yesterday, due to really heavy wind in the country resulting in a failure in their network. A big part of the capital and neighbor cities lost power for some...

I planned to stay at the Four Seasons but chose the Corvinus instead and I am delighted with my decision. Having visited the Four Seasons in Budapest this priced a great choice. The location alone was better being in the heart of all the action - Christmas Markets, shops, spectacular restaurants both within the hotel and within 2-3 mins walk...

Great location. just near the shopping streets and the historical sites (walking distance). Located near public transportation . Rich and tasty breakfast buffet. The staff is great. The room is big and comfortable (especially the beds). Recommended just before christmas when all the streets are full with stalls and lights. Very recommended hotel!!

This is a proper 5 star hotel! I stayed here for 2 nights on business, but the hotel has an interesting mix of business and tourist guest. The hotel location is perfect, city center Budapest and easy to reach from the airport. The hotel breaths a luxurious well maintained, clean and friendly atmosphere. Staff is helpful, pays attention and very...

I love breakfast. This hotel must have seen me coming. Fresh juice station. Freshly cut fruit station. There was no omelet station, but you could order eggs a la carte. Bacon, sausage, roast ham, sausages, cold cuts, smoked salmon, more sausage, cheese, an incredible array of breads and pastries. Besides the breakfast, the only services I sampled were buffet lunches...

Arrived in Budapest via a private transfer company and found that the entrance lobby to the Kempinski Cornivus is as impressive as the images in the Tripadvisor reviews. Our room was on the ninth floor and gave us a great view of one of the Christmas markets that we came to see. Our room was as befitted a 5 star...

We stayed here for a weekend before Christmas 2014. The hotel is located very well for this purpose, near the Christmas market and the large ferris wheel. The Christmas decorations in the hotel were very tasteful. The Funiculair to the castle district can be reached in 15 minutes across the large bridge. In the Hotel, We had a regular room...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
