Was completely satisfied and very happy with stay at Hotel Kempinski on recent trip to Budapest. Excellent location; handy to walk to Danube and Chain Bridge, Great Market hall, down Vaci and up Andrassy. Also a block from buses and two blocks from the Andrassy...More
This amazing, well run, perfectly situated Kempinski hotel has certainly achieved perfection. We couldn't find a thing wrong with it except for the expensive and badly managed Japanese restaurant which the hotel points out is just a lease operation and not part of the hotel....More
Energetic downtown location. Walking distance to major points of interest in Budapest ... Churches, Palaces, Museums, Dining, Shopping. Friendly and professional staff, good restaurants including NOBU, and a friendly albeit very busy bar. Highly recommended.
This is Definitely one of the better places I've stayed! Stayed here 22-24th Sept.
Room nice but I found a little small when compared with say the marriott around the corner.
Friendly staff, great breakfast. Didn't try the spa or pool but it looked awesome....More
Stayed there during the New Year and the hotel left really cute chocolates/candies (one of them was a pig for good luck) to welcome the New Year. That was a nice touch! It is also near a cafe with very beautiful interiors called "Gerbeaud".
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
