Clean and bright. Up a hill. Breakfast average. Quite a good price. You can only pay in HUF though. Pool looked nice but shadey, good in hot weather fairly small. Little garden area with seats. Staff friendly.

Last month I travelled to Budapest with 5 students and that hotel was all we needed. Clean and big rooms, WiFi and a backyard with a small pool to relax. Breakfast is quite good and the staff is very friendly (students were late for breakfast and they let them have it with a smile). It's five minutes from the Danube...

I stayed in Hotel Papillion for 3 nights in March 2016. The hotel is on the same side of the river as the castle, away from the business of the city centre somewhat. It is at the top of a steep hill - but only cost €7 in a taxi from the centre of the city so really not a...

I stayed at the Papillon for four nights this past week with a group of 20 Swiss high school students for a graduation trip. I could not possibly recommend this place highly enough! The location is excellent: - a 6-minute walk to the tram stop, from where all of Budapest is your oyster, as the city has an excellent, easy-to-use...

I frequent the hotel since more then a couple of years. Why? Because the nice room, the friendly, helpful personal, allways with a smiling face! Location is quiet, but still in the city.In summer or winter time a good starting point to discover the city of Budapest,if you are a visitor or you have the time between two sessions of a dental treatment,n'est pas?...

Second time I've stayed here. Exceptionally clean. Cheap. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's basic but at the top end of budget hotels. Not really suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as it's up a steep hill but for what I need it's perfect. Breakfast is good with a nice selection. Only real complaint is that the towels are...

I stayed her for 5 days last week and was very pleasantly surprised as I was having some dental treatment. Very warm welcome, amazed that the hotel is walking distance from the dentist (it is a bit more hilly on this side to get to and from the hotel walking but I didn't find this to be an issue, in...
