They don't change your bed sheets. Dropped to the ground to be replaced, the towels they don't change. Carpets very old and dirty. No slippers in the room. Bathroom is very old. It's really sad that shower curtain. Fridge is not working. No drinking water in the room.

We had booked a week's stay at the Budapest Hotel in Budapest, Hungary. A cylindrical building, it looked appealing in the pictures and also in reality when we arrived. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good start at the Budapest Hotel. On arrival the man on Reception would not accept that we had booked half-board, he kept insisting that we had...

Stayed three nights at 11th floor, view is fine, room is old needs refurbishment, expect a clean 3 star hotel, breakfast is moderate, there are a lot of tourist groups coming with busses and it is a nightmare in the mornings to wait for the elevators, still recommend if you are at Buda side, 25 min walk to Pest. Helpfull...

A good place to stay for couple of nights, the only problem are the elevators. Last time when I was at 14th floor it take me less to go down through the stairs instead using the elevators. But in general everything was ok and I will using it again.

I am really impressed with the location of the hotell, the proximity to public transport, the pleasant and frendly service. However, it would be good to improve the quality of food of the restaurant in the hotell. I didn't have enough vegetables and herbs. But that is my modest opinion:). In general everything was ok.

Well groomed cordial staff, spic an span HK, well laid out breakfast spread. Beautiful exterior. Kudos. Toiletries in bathroom and kettle in the room should have been provided. Add a few more flowers besides Geranium in the sit out.

The room we stayed is very old and smelly also beds were dirty. Elevator was not functioning properly because of lots of people trying to use it. From our room to go to ground floor took us 15 minutes which is insane.

The hotel is old, dusty and looks like someone forgot that it's 2017 not 1970! The rooms are very small, and not welcoming- as well as the stuff! I have never experienced as rude service as at the Budapest hotel. So happy I spent there only one night, and surely will never come back. Don't recommend it to anyone.

The men at the reception desk have been amazing! We've had a laugh and a joke with them and they've helped us locate restaurants and book cabs to get into pest. The room was perfect with two single beds (two girls), and big enough for us both to be able to get ready at the same time. We loved the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Stay at one of the capital’s iconic buildings! Hotel Budapest – formerly called Round Hotel – caused a major stir as soon as it was built. The high-rise circular building full of windows was considered an architectural oddball, and so in time became one of the symbols of Budapest and a favourite with visitors. With its 15 stories and 64 metres in height, it’s still the tallest hotel in the country. From its higher floors, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of the various landmarks of the Buda and Pest sides of the city. The hotel, located in green surroundings at the foot of the Buda hills, is an excellent choice whether you want to go sightseeing, or you’ve come for a professional event, or if you want to go for a walk in the Buda hills: the buses or trams stopping in front of the hotel will take you to the M2 metro in Széll Kálmán Square in a few minutes, and also to many nice place in Buda, without having to change. The cog-wheel railway, a major tourist attraction in itself, stops right opposite the hotel, offering easy access to the Buda hills. The nearby Városmajor park is a great place for long walks, jogging and other outdoor exercise. Those arriving by car or coach can park their vehicle in the car park in front of the hotel. ... more   less
